I was interested in how/what they teach for the biology degree. It turns out that it's not actually a BS in the science. It is a degree in "natural sciences," whatever that is. And it's religious-based. This is how it's described. Who would pay money for something so useless? Would you go to a physician whose pre-med degree was through here? Would other universities accept this as a springboard to an actual degree that would get you employment?

Fascinated by science and have an insatiable love for learning? Fuel your passion through PCC’s bachelor of science degree in natural sciences with a biology concentration. You’ll learn more about the Creator Who spoke all living organisms into existence, and you’ll gain confidence to defend your faith. Explore the Pensacola flora and make discoveries in laboratories while earning a broad liberal arts education with a base in creation science.

Why are you ok with some groups canceling things but not other groups?

If I was running a private college I would cancel visiting speakers who are Nazis, Klan, or Stalinists in a heart beat.

You can cancel people based on their romantic interests, I'll leave that to you

Better romantic than totalitarian.

This is the type of thing that gets America caricatured as a fundamentalist theocracy in developed countries.

And rightfully so.

I would say "understandably" so for sure, but I think "rightfully" is a bit of an overstatement.

Because as hard as the right-wing low foreheaded Bible waving droolers have been trying for decades to push us there, the sane, intelligent and civilized majority have thankfully been able to stand in their way.

So any caricature of America as a Western version of Iran is just that. An inaccurate caricature.

One understands why it is, but in reality, it's not a right or correct portrayal.

Wouldn't be at all surprised. There is a "pre-law" area of study as well as pre-med. Guess you have to go to Liberty Univ. to get the juris doctorate. I doubt if any other credentialed law school would accept the degree from this crackpot "college."

I hope they're also scrutinizing the shellfish eating habits of guest performers, or whether they wear wool clothes.

This is so self-righteous, and so ridiculous. They should be deeply embarrassed about this.

Time for religions to get back in their place from the design of this nation by the founders

You have no place in government

You get no perks

Just for the hell of it, I looked at their website to see what degrees they offer. Biology is one of them. Do you suppose they teach actual biology, including evolution, or is that not allowed because it contradicts the Bible? Ditto for chemistry, which is also offered?

My guess is that Liberty University and the like have figured out how to teach biology, within the backdrop of Intelligent Design.

Thus proving the school is both hypocritical and stupid. Sad.

Their right to do so, of course, but two hours??? If I had planned to attend the concert, I’d be pissed.

“ Fans and supporters of the group questioned PCC's reasoning, mentioning the college's performances in recent years of works by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Francis Poulenc, two classical music titans widely known to have had male romantic interests.”

Unlike you Nazis who are always open to a myriad of ideas.

There is NO hypocrisy like demopocrisy.

To be fair, some of America's best universities and schools are religious and teach the standard scientific principles of biology and evolution. Georgetown University, Southern Methodist U., Catholic University, Notre Dame.

Presidents, including the Obamas, have famously sent their children to Sidwell Friends, a Quaker prep school in DC

Adultery is one of the greatest moral sins in the bible,

Biblical Dogma you just made up to promote your Christophobic hatred?

but the board of regents of this little Christian college would undoubtedly be doing cartwheels if they landed serial adulterer Donald Trumpf as a guest speaker

You would undoubtedly be doing cartwheels if the Gestapo marched in and killed everyone associated with the school, students and professors alike.

If they get any tax dollars or tax breaks it should be revoked.

Agreed. I dislike government mandates of diversity, banning speech, interfering with private business, etc. However, I strongly support government reinforcement of healthy behavior such as diversity, support for free speech, etc. through tax breaks and low-interest loans.

Per the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause, this applies to everyone and every organization. No special breaks for anyone. If we really want to minimize bigotry, racism and the like, then we need to stop institutionalizing special rules for special people. Our government should treat everyone the same. This applies to everything from Corporate Welfare to Affirmative Action.

So, you believe if we take away rules and programs to govern equality that things will become equal? Blacks, women, LBGTQ+ discrimination will just heal? Do you truly believe this?
