Largest and most successful airlift in history

Tacit admission that Trump's deal was bad?

That Trump's deal worked to the point he left office doesn't mean it would have worked to the end. So, it is very possible it would have had bad results. Biden shorted the timeline and forced an exit. In either case, it was Biden's decision that caused what happened.

Trump's deal set a deadline. That was a mistake but was popular with his traitorous supporters.

Regardless, Biden botched the execution even with the short deadline as evidenced by the surprise to our allies and Americans left behind.

FWIW, we should have left after bin Laden was removed from existence. While its true most of our military support was defensive in nature, it was still time for us to go. The failure to leave then is on Obama. Trump had four years to leave but he didn't. That's on him. Biden left but forced a rush so bad it caught our allies flatfooted. That's on him.

None of that changes anything I stated. The deal worked up to Trump leaving office. It might have gone badly for Trump if he were reelected and continued to follow it. Biden moved the timetable up and forced an exit. That ended in disaster. It was Biden's decision that did that, not Trump's.

Given that Biden has been on the wrong side of virtually every major policy decision he's been involved with in his political career-- You do know he advised Obama to not go after bin Laden don't you?--I'm not at all surprised he fucked up Afghanistan too.

Disagreed. It changes the Trumpian slant of your statement. Basically, Trump launched an arrow into the air and didn't give a shit where it lands because he wouldn't be there.

Biden tried to catch it and fucked up it.

Pending any last minute disasters, arguably the largest and most masterful U S. Airlift in history.

Less than 300 Americans left in Afghanistan

As of Sunday, the U.S. has evacuated roughly 114,400 people from Afghanistan since Aug. 14,

The airlift may have become the largest and fastest in U.S. military history, depending on how the total numbers carried on coalition aircraft are counted.

Did they bring back any of the $81,000,000,000 in weapons they left?

How did Trump know that he "wouldn't be there?" He fully expected to be reelected. That's pretty obvious. On the other hand, Biden immediately tried to undo everything Trump did without any regard to its utility, worthwhileness, or anything else. It was simply enough for the Joke administration that Trump did it. Afghanistan is Biden's fuck up.

LOL

Why do you guys still believe a pathological liar?

The total was around $7 billion. Mostly outdated and decommissioned - nothing state of the art. And it wasn't sitting on pallets in safe territory waiting to be airlifted - which means getting it would have required soldiers, and likely led to casualties.

And you guys already think that 13 casualties in getting out of a war-torn, unstable nation after 2 decades was astronomical. So.....

What's the acceptable number of Americans left behind enemy lines???

What's the acceptable number of Americans left behind enemy lines???

Ask your fellow righties on this thread. They're all gung-ho to put 5,000+ troops in there indefinitely to secure Bagram, and also to put hundreds if not thousands of troops in harm's way to retrieve decommissioned and outdated equipment.

More lies. We didn't need to secure Bagram "indefinitely", and using it as Trump planned would have gotten everyone out.

No one would have been in "harm's way", because the Taliban had no intention of fucking with Pres.Trump.

They had no such reservations about fucking Pres. Moron the Ball-less up the ass in front of the world, murdering Marines at Kabul airport.

And now we learn that they completely ignored the "deal" with Moron the Ball-less, allowing Al Qaeda refuge after all.

NONE OF WHICH WOULD HAVE HAPPENED UNDER TRUMP, WHOM THEY WERE TERRIFIED OF.

^^ If that was a good line, Republicans would be campaigning on it.

The best proof we have that the withdrawal was not an epic clusterfuck is that Republicans aren't campaigning on it in any measurable way, and Fox News pundits are not dedicating segments on it.

The real question is how many months is battalion of Marines supposed to sit around at a Kabul airport and stay in harms way waiting for stragglers to show up?

Americans were told to get out in May. That is more than enough time to pack a suitcase and get to the airport. The fact is, most of the Americans reluctant to leave were dual citizens, hesitant to part from their families and friends.

That's a pretty hyper-partisan take.

No one was afraid of Trump. As your former hero Cheney said - he's a coward.

Dat's ok. It went through Biden's brain. No ill or noticeable effects.
