Compared to what Hillary has gotten away with it would be ho-hum. For crying out loud, the DNC [basically an employee of Clinton Inc.] actually, professionally, met with the Ukrainians on foreign soil to plot against Trump. And the mission was fulfilled.

For Krauthammer to say what he did is fine, but democrats and liberals have absolutely no moral high ground to stand on.

When you "take a meeting" knowing full well that the meeting is with a person you know you shouldn't be meeting with for the purpose of engaging in something you know you shouldn't be engaged in, that is in and of itself a criminal act by virtue of intent.

When local cops bust johns for attempting to purchase sexual services from an undercover cop posing as a prostitute, they are not required to wait until the sex act has been completed and payment rendered. As soon as the john offers her money and enters the hotel room, unlawful intent is established and the bust is made.

Same thing with these pedophiles who set up meetings with undercover cops online, thinking that they're talking to underage children. The cops are not required to wait until an actual sex act occurs. As soon as the offender shows up and knocks on the door, he is taken down, arrested and charged with a crime of intent to engage in unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

as a lawyer....you should know that any collusion ( and use the legal term here conspiracy )
requires an active goal agreed up for co-conspirators. No where do they agree to "collude" to bring down Hillary.
You can say Russia has that implied goal,but it was never stated by the Russian lawyer/Goldstein/ or Trump.

Assuming Junior went to the FBI, what could they do on such thin information? 'Ok, thanks Junior, we'll get back with you on that?'.

Junior had to take the meeting to find out if there was dirt. So, you have to *assume* Junior wouldn't have gone to the Feds if he found out something. What if it was something so bad Junior would feel compelled to report it?

I don't think a prosecutor would touch this because it forces too many guesswork assumptions about what Junior intended to do with the dirt *after* he received it. The only thing known for sure is was willing to hear it.

Krauthammer is usually a better thinker than this. Kinda/sorta collusion is untenable. It's a charge the partisans make because it's politically expedient for them to make it. If you don't collude all the way, you haven't colluded. 'Attempted collusion' is nonsense. Just because I jumped off the roof and attempted to fly doesn't mean I flew lol.

I completely agree his "reasoning" is sloppy -but he's part of the Swamp too and apparently got caught up in an echo chamber..who knows.

It would have been smart if Trump Jr alerted the FBI, but i'm sure he didn't do so on purpose-
