Kash Patel: All The Documents At Mar-a-Lago Were Already Declassified

Even Trump does not believe that. Nor did any one in his White House administration.

During Trumps term as POTUS, he made statements (oral or written(Twitter)) 3 times that he had declassified info in his usual impetuous way.

In all 3 instances the Media said 'Good', and then sent in FOIA requests to get the declassified info, as then is there right.

In all 3 instances Trump and his WH staff then thought 'Oops, we don't want them to have that' and they voluntarily went in to court, sent by Trump, to argue that Trump simply making statements (oral or written (Twitter)) DOES NOT actually declassify shit unless the secondary steps are followed thru to actually declassify them.

It is 3 of the rare times Trump and his team actually won in court with the Courts finding all 3 times that statements alone that something is declassified by Trump ARE NOT enough, and the Media lost all three cases.

- James Madison Project v. U.S. Dep't of Justice
- LEOPOLD et al v. U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE et al, No. 1:2019cv01278 - Document 86 (D.D.C. 2020)
- The New York Times, et al., v. Central Intelligence Agency

So the argument now that Trump can declassify with his mind or a statement is just laughably dumb considering Trump sent Mark Meadows into court and he won arguing that 'Trump statements alone with no follow up, do not declassify shit'

Of course he knows he's lying. As usual trump tries all his crimes in the court of public opinion. The object is to apply pressure to law enforcement agencies and court officials trying to hold trump to account.

“There doesn’t have to be a process, as I understand it,” Trump said. “You’re the president of the United States, you can declassify just by saying it’s declassified, even by thinking about it.”

That quote is spot on. Trump was right.

Places the responsibility for the custody and management of incumbent Presidential records with the President.

Requires that the President and his staff take all practical steps to file personal records separately from Presidential records.

Allows the incumbent President to dispose of records that no longer have administrative, historical, informational, or evidentiary value, once the views of the Archivist of the United States on the proposed disposal have been obtained in writing.

Establishes in law that any incumbent Presidential records (whether textual or electronic) held on courtesy storage by the Archivist remain in the exclusive legal custody of the President and that any request or order for access to such records must be made to the President, not NARA.

He knows better. he was informed of how to, classify and declassify and the procedures he needed to follow. I am pretty sure they did not tell him he could abracadabra classification whenever he felt like it. That means every single dept would have to contact him to see if it was using classified paperwork. But if he said it was classified, how do they know he would not abracadabra it back after lunch? In short, that argument makes no sense at all.

There are no procedures for a Presidents declassification and I challenge anyone to find a credible link suggesting otherwise. ANYONE.

His cult is stupid and gullible enough to believe this. Just look at pEarl, for instance, who *still* insists that this is not a falsehood. Wonder how many of the dupes have sent him money since the news broke.

Ironic in that it is 100% factual and you look like a stupid gullible leftist dumbass that gets their talking points from MSNBC.

That would be more applicable to MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS who lied endlessly about the Russia Hoax, the Mueller Hoax, the Ukrainian Hoax, the Covid Hoax etc etc.

See what happens to your brain on Fox News

If you are stupid enough you believe all this trash

You stupid Trumpys cannot understand the gravity of what Trump's claims portend. If a president had the power to magically classify and declassify in his tiny brain, it destroys the entire system of classification. Nobody in the military or the government would ever know if a document would be classified. They would have to call Trump directly to find out and ask him if he was going to change his mind later. The system would be ended. People in the military would not know what is secret because Trump could change his mind at any time. The people in departments misusing documents would not be able to prosecute misuse because they would never know if a document, no matter how important, is classified.
To make it simple, Trump did not have that power at any time, let alone after he was a defeated ex-president.

Our allies would never share sensitive Intel with us if they thought there was a chance the president would blab about it with his golfing buddies or store it next to the toilet in the bathroom of a golf resort.
