Only by leftist activists who were trying to count turnarounds as "deportations" to artificially increase "deportation" numbers. Interior deportations cropped by nearly 50% from Bush to Obama. Previous administrations did not count turnarounds at the border as "deportations" as only interior deportations were counted in that number.
There can be arguments made for pushing for deporting more "criminals" over just all deportations, but redefining the word and counting turnarounds at the border to artificially increase your numbers was seen by his critics as a way to try to obfuscate and to hide lax border security policy.
The only people who called him "Deporter-In-Chief" were La Raza and other leftist open border activists, and IMHO they were aiding him in obscuring the reality of his lax border security policies.

This is the person most often quoted saying "Deporter-In-Chief" as she used it in her 2014 speech citing "2 million deportations", while rightwingers consistently pointed out that turnarounds are not "deportations" even if you really really want to count them...

I never said that, I said he was not "deporter in chief" and pointed out that interior deportations (the ones every other president has used to count deportations) dropped by nearly 50% during his terms. His border policy was lax.
Even Biden sometimes deported some folks, but not nearly as many as he just let walk in. However, the only person in any public position that ever called Obama "Deporter in Chief" was the one person I have named in this thread and all the useful idiots who pretended that it meant he was seriously "tough" on border security. I also believe that even the leftist "useful idiots" are only pretending to believe it, even they know that letting 11 Million illegals into the country is not "deporter in chief" when you only "deport" 2 Million and fluff your numbers by using turnarounds.
He wasn't "deporter in chief" to anybody at all, even La Raza was just using it to obscure the reality in the hope some morons would really believe them.
