It was the first one that showed up under Google. I can show you subtle and not-so-subtle examples of left-wing media bias every day, and you know it.Maybe his paper doesn't have the same standards! I think it is time to eliminate this type of reporting, except where I expect it, like Real Time or The Daily Show.
Well, if your ideas and opinions NEED balancing, then its your ideas and opinions that need to change....Oh, that we were are thoughtful as yourself, there would be no division in the world, also, it would be very boring, there would be no variation, all would be the same, just like you! I like people to have different ideas from my own and opinions, I find it balances things.
Well, if your ideas and opinions NEED balancing, then its your ideas and opinions that need to change....
If you think exposing Obamas contributions from BP isn't news worthy, then your views do need balancing...
If you think the use of "far left" is over the top, while dismissing the common every day use right-wing and far-right, etc. ...well, you get the point.
Ah...the "independent" chimes in.
Olbermann & Schulz's shows are opinion shows. Krugman writes an opinion column.
So, they're supposed to lean.
Yep, the headline actually reads: "WJLA-TV fires veteran anchor Doug McKelway, cites insubordination, misconduct."
Given that there are dozens of internet sites listing contributions from oil companies, and that this info about Obama has been out there for months, it's clear the issue wasn't some kind of "gotcha" about donations.

lol, I almost feel bad for them. All they have are a couple of googles and a prayer left. Its sad really.
I know what would happen in the military!
You're entitled to your own opinion, not your own facts...It's not about "exposing Obama's contributions from BP". That news has been all over the internet for almost five months. It's about the reporter showing his biases instead of reporting the news straight, and then getting into a shoving match with the boss when he was called on it.
You're entitled to your own opinion, not your own facts...
(All from the link....)
In his piece, McKelway said the sparsely attended event attracted protesters "largely representing far-left environmental groups."
FACT 1....TRUE
He went on to say the protest "may be a risky strategy because the one man who has more campaign contributions from BP than anybody else in history is now sitting in the Oval Office, President Barack Obama, who accepted $77,051 in campaign contributions from BP."
FACT 2...TRUE...just true
After a brief taped segment updating efforts to cap the BP well, McKelway added that the Senate was unlikely to pass "cap-and-trade" legislation this year, because "the Democrats are looking at the potential for huge losses in Congress come the midterm elections.
FACT 3....TRUE, as reported a hundred times this month alone
And the last thing they want to do is propose a huge escalation in your electric bill, your utility bill, before then."
FACT 4...TRUE, using common sense logic
Lord took exception to McKelway's reporting
If Mr. Lord has a problem with the TRUTH then he is the one that needs to be replaced .....
Gotta agree with you on that one....I...(we) weren't there to witness this todo first hand....I'm positive his pink slip won't say he was fired because he reported the facts....lol...Except the one FACT you can't prove is that McKelway was fired for the info contained in his report.
What can be proven is he got into a shoving match with his boss after being told not to editorialize and that act of insubordination brought about his termination.

I don't know if it was "sparsely attended" or not, and I don't think you do, either. Show me the numbers. It was sponsored by religious and environmental groups which IMO narrows the number of attendees. In any case, that's not the comment that got him into trouble.
Of course you don't know if it was "sparsely attended" fool...thats why you listen to the news...to find those things out from those that do know.

Yep...thats the facts...Obama got MORE than anybody else in history...and unless someone got MORE than he did,...your post is irrelevant .....and quite desperate and pathetic....so its not speculation at all, is it...
Speculation. Where I live, public utility costs are regulated by the state, not the fed.??
More bullshit....Cap and Trade will not be passed...as reported over and over again by just about EVERY news organization in the country..
AND
the C and T bill, IF PASSED, would raise public utility rates ...as told to you by the President himself...Thats Pres. Obama that said your bills would go UP....UP....UP.....
so spare us the bullshit about the feds regulating utility costs....
I don't think Obama should get donations from BP, I don't think businesses should be able to contribute to politicians, so you are all wet, once again! I think all corporate donations should be looked at real hard by all voters! Tells who they are in bed with and who is calling the shots. I don't like corporations calling the shots for the people!Well, if your ideas and opinions NEED balancing, then its your ideas and opinions that need to change....
