Jornalist fired for revealing Obama's campaign contributions from BP

The New York Times isnt biased. The Times, The Post, CNN and MSNBC are the most balanced unbiased staight forward new sources in the business of reproting news. Kieth Olberman defines character and integrity. I make sure I watch Ed Shultz everyday so I can find out whats really happening in DC. No economist gets IT better than Paul Krugman....

Ah...the "independent" chimes in.

Olbermann & Schulz's shows are opinion shows. Krugman writes an opinion column.

So, they're supposed to lean.

Not bad, but "far left" is an apt description, isn't it? Here's a hard news article by a well-established newspaper that does the same thing to describe the TEA Party as "right-wing", and in the headline no less.

I don't see how that reporter was fired.

Well, for one thing, that's a UK newspaper. For another thing, they say "right-wing", which is an obvious and objective description of the Tea Party, while this guy said "far left", which is far more prejorative.

The NYT is biased; they are admittedly a liberal newspaper. The Times isn't a particularly left-wing newspaper in the UK context. The Post? You mean Washington or New York Post? Neither are left-wing. The Washington post is center-right and the NY post is trash.

Paul Krugman is a top-notch economist. His opinion columns are opinion columns and should not be cited like a scientific journal. Of course, most economists are noticed far more than for their vague political speculations than their real contribution to the field.

Fucking candy ass liberals not commenting on personnel decisions at some radio station somewhere that they don't work at and haven't the foggiest idea what happened.

Here's a thought though, perhaps getting into a "shouting match" with your boss isn't the best idea from like a career advancement perspective. Just a thought.

Does that normally stop them from commenting?

Because it's a BRITISH paper, you incredible moron!

Just when I think we've finally hit rock bottom, you find new ways to plumb newer and deeper depths of stupidity...

FYI .. I am registered Indy. However ... my political leaning reads like this ..

Fusionism is an American political term for the combination or "fusion" of libertarians and traditional conservatives as well as social conservatives in the American conservative movement. It is also known as libertarian conservatism.

NY Post is trash? Why? Because it is the opposite of the Times which is what? Wash Post leans right? Since when.. unless of course you are a far left lib . ... left of Mao Tse Tung....

Oh, that is a good point, too and this firing may not even have a bearing on what the man said, but how he said it! Imagine!

Yep, the headline actually reads: "WJLA-TV fires veteran anchor Doug McKelway, cites insubordination, misconduct."

Given that there are dozens of internet sites listing contributions from oil companies, and that this info about Obama has been out there for months, it's clear the issue wasn't some kind of "gotcha" about donations.

Maybe his paper doesn't have the same standards! I think it is time to eliminate this type of reporting, except where I expect it, like Real Time or The Daily Show.

Both are opinions and they don't belong in the news, they belong in opinion pieces.

This is where the "news" in this country has gone so wrong and apparently in some publications in the UK.

Did you really think the pinheads would not or could not defend the indefensible?
They will defend anything the hypocritical lefties do...anything.
And that is truely what we define as pathetic....

Thats the very reason the peckerheads are called pinheads...
Oh, that we were are thoughtful as yourself, there would be no division in the world, also, it would be very boring, there would be no variation, all would be the same, just like you! I like people to have different ideas from my own and opinions, I find it balances things.

LOL, I swear, is this all you people have? Its quite pathetic.
still LOL'ing at your "crickets" comment. lol, as if this lose angry republican is some kind of Erin Brockovich.

cut me a break.

Nexxxxxttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't rep you, again, so high five!

I challenge any liberal here to justify this firing.

(Excerpt) After a brief taped segment updating efforts to cap the BP well, McKelway added that the Senate was unlikely to pass "cap-and-trade" legislation this year, because "the Democrats are looking at the potential for huge losses in Congress come the midterm elections. And the last thing they want to do is propose a huge escalation in your electric bill, your utility bill, before then."

Lord took exception to McKelway's reporting and asked to meet with him, according to several station sources who were granted anonymity to discuss the sensitive personnel matter. A shouting match between the two men ensued, leading to McKelway's suspension, sources said. (End) (Emphasis added)

Hey Damn Yankee. Ever hear of "insubordination"? Why don't you get into a shouting match with the general manager of your company and let us know what transpires. :)
