Jobs vs. Work

This thread is just fabulous. Really representative of the Republican party of today. And no that's not hyperbole. We are talking about the people who summoned Joe The I'm Not a Plumber Plumber to Washington DC to advise them on economic policy!

All Dixie has to do is get on tv, and I guarantee you they will fly him in to advise them on how deflation isn't bad for the economy.

And people vote for them folks. Be afraid.

**BA DA DAT DA DAAA... I'm Lovin it!** (McDonald's Theme)

The wonderful thing about liberals being in charge is, they always crap in their sandbox! Never fails! Give them power, and suddenly... Inflation is a good thing and lower prices are Baaaaaad! LMFAOOoooo!

Please, oh please..please...please... Keep on this talking point about Deflation is Bad and Inflation is Preferable! I want to hear at least one of you pinheads repeat this daily! America needs to hear it, over and over again! It typifies the insanity of those who have been put in charge of this country, and deserves to be trumpeted from every rooftop! Where did you all come up with that gem????? And why didn't one of you idiots think of it when we were suffering double-digit inflation under Carter... he may have won a second term, if you had only thought up that piece of liberal brilliance!

Not only do you not know your ass from your elbow, but you couldn't find your ass with both hands in your back pockets, son.

Wrong! Deflation is not bad for the economy. You see... you have to prove shit, not just spew shit! You haven't explained why deflation is bad for the economy, and my guess is, you can't. Because "deflation" itself, is not a bad thing for the consumer, in fact, it's a good thing in good economic times! Every consumer I know of wants things cheaper, don't you? I think that is pretty fucking universal isn't it? I've not met any idiots who actually WANT to pay more for stuff... but I don't live in your liberal mecca, maybe there are some where you're from?

Inflation is never preferable, but like I said, it takes some huge kahoneys to make that insane argument! Kudos to you for that! I bet Jimmy Carter wishes you were around back in the 70's!

ROFLMAO....

You really are a moron. Again ditzie... I am not saying anyone WANTS inflation. I am saying that inflation is preferred to deflation. Which anyone who has taken economics would understand. Take a look at every depression in history. Which was present? inflation? or deflation?

When the mindset changes from inflation mentality to deflation mentality, people not only stop spending, they stop borrowing. If they lose the capacity or mentality to borrow, spending declines. When spending declines the economy goes into a recession. If the downward spiral continues it leads to a depression. That dear ditzie is why the government spending is being proposed right now. While there are many aspects of this bill that should not be there, the ones that create jobs are indeed beneficial to the economy.

deflation is NOT simply a decline in prices. Because you can get a decline from better efficiencies in production. That is not deflation dearest ditzie. deflation is a sustained drop in prices.

If you were looking to buy a car and today it cost you $20k... would you buy the car if you believed that in a year it would be $15k? and then $10k the year after that? Or would you wait?

If your mortgage on your home was $50k (I assume that is what your doublewide costs) and the value was $50k.... what happens to you when that home continues to devalue year after year? Is your situation getting better or worse?

During deflationary cycles... are your wages increasing or decreasing?

For people with zero debt, yes... those people will be ok. But for everyone with debt... they are fucked.

Find ONE economist that thinks Deflation is better than Inflation ditzie. Just one.

very well said!

Boy, it must be sad to not be able to articulate an argument. I'm so glad I don't have to rely on petty insults for response. Just for the record, so you know... Whenever you respond with nothing but an insult, it makes me smile from ear to ear, because I know I have eaten your lunch and you can't refute my points... you've lost the argument, and have no other option except to insult me. Tickles me to death!! :D

Hmmm... Let's see.... in this thread, I have been accused of "parrotting" (lmao) so many.... First it was Micheal Steele... then Rush Limbaugh... now Joe the Plumber... Wow, it's nice to know so many people agree with me! I was beginning to think I was all alone!

Let me ask you pinhead morons a question.... Do you think it bothers me or refutes my argument in ANY way, to accuse me of saying what other people have also said?

:lmao: Pinheads amuse the hell outta me!

Usually, when people have to talk about how amused they are & how much they are laughing, the opposite is actually the case, and they are really beet red & pounding the keyboard.

If you ARE smiling, it would be unsurprising, because you're pretty dumb, and dumb people tend to smile a lot.

Hey ditzie... like I said... find ONE economist that agrees that deflation is preferred over inflation. Just ONE.

Every single one of your moronic points has been refuted. Many times over. You just pretend not to see them. That is why our dearest little ditzie that people are mocking you. Because you are too fucking ignorant to read and comprehend why it is that you are so very very wrong.

As I stated before ditzie.... a price cut after a company becomes more-efficient is fine. Deflation is different: it's consistent price cutting and asset price declines -- falling prices across most products and servies -- usually driven by a lack of consumer / wholesale demand.

Further, if deflation persists it can, you guessed it, lead to lay-offs. Companies and factories with lower revenue and demand for their products / services scale-back production to reduce expenses by laying-off employees. Those laid-off employees then cut expenses as they search for new jobs by cutting spending, resulting in even lower demand for products, further price cuts, and lower company revenues, and a vicious cycle can ensue.

That is why deflation is bad dearest little ditzie.....

But, but...the Soviet Union didn't work! Do you deny that?

lets see right wing tools, please read the bush admins monthly jobs created/loss numbers. Ahh there's a catagorey for Government JOBS.

But, but...the Soviet Union didn't work! Do you deny that?

:) I KNOW... how can I argue with such "logic"... deflation is good... it must be... because ditzie said so.

Right now he is scrambling all over Google trying to find one economist that would agree with his idiocy... to his dismay, he cannot find any. So he comes here and proclaims that no one can refute his points.
