Yeah, he only showered with the boys, riiiigggghhht. He took way too long to answer if he was attracted to them sexually.

I was reading on this and the District Attorney who initially investigated this case disappeared. May not even be related, but it makes you go, hmmmmmm.
A janitor itnessed an assault also, but he now has dementia and can't testify.
It is a very curious case.

his claim of innocence is simply mind boggling. he takes showers with kids, touches them on the thigh and "horseplays" with them....but is innocent.

I guess I understand a woman standing by her man if he cheated or had an affair but when the charge is raping young boys? Again I guess I see it if she truly doesn't believe it but just so hard to understand.

Understood. I think we are all pretty clear on Damn Yankee's feelings about homosexuality. There have been many many threads where he and we have discussed them. Must the same conversations be had over and over and over? If we continue to talk about new announcements regarding Sandusky is every thread then going to be a discussion of pedophilia is because of homosexuality etc. etc. etc.?

that is the part of the enjoyment of this board, it doesn't matter that we stick to strict rules. i do see your point and understand. but a thread about alleged pedophilia is bound to attract some who want to talk about how homosexuality and some correlation with pedophilia

I think part of it is her age and her generation... they didn't go public with dirty laundry and turned a blind eye to sordid affairs like this. "We don't talk about those things, it's private." My own opinion is that her instincts may have nagged her that all was not as it seemed, but she didn't want to examine them too closely. There was Jerry's reputation, their lifestyle, the disgrace if family and friends found out. All of which are self-centered, miserable excuses but I've seen behaviour like this in my parents' and grandparents' generation, and about issues that weren't even as egregious as pedophilia.

Real basic cliff notes:
He's accused of molestering 10 boys over the past 15 years.
The real scandal has been the higher ups at Penn St University knew about this and nothing really happened to him.
A couple of weeks ago he was arrested and let out on bail.
He did an interview last night with Bob Costas claiming his innocence, his love of children and the guy who saw him having sex in the shower with a 10 year old boy is lying and made it up.
