Arguing about the height of the trajectory is pointless, many of those rockets have failed and it wouldn't be that hard to imagine it falling down onto Japanese soil. It that happened then all bets are off.

they are adjusting the trajectories to a much more realistic flatter longer distance.
that's a significant improvement in real world use rather then the high angle up and down used before.

It's only a matter of time till they have a functional ICBM capable of long distance..
