Itsy Biggy Burkini Ban Overturned

I have swum in pools in many different countries, including the USA, and never encountered that other than in France. By the way, swimming shorts are not street clothes!!

what are swimming shorts?......in the US all shorts are street clothes.....do you mean a swimsuit?.....

The burqa is already banned in Holland, Belgium and Italy. I would ban it on security grounds as it's far too easy for terrorists to hide suicide belts and bombs under them.

France already has a ban on face coverings. The Burkini is not actually a burqua, it does not cover the face, and the security concerns that apply to face covering burquas do not apply to it. In fact no actual Muslim fundamentalist would wear it, they would refuse to allow women to swim with men and the Burkini would be too revealing for them because in many places it is skin tight.

They need to ban ISlam, unless they want more of their citizens getting run down by trucks.

Islamists love killing people in the most atrocious ways. Even the "moderate" muslims in France believe women shouldn't be wearing bikinis at the beach and often harass/assault them.

Great society open borders and multiculturalism has caused in Europe. Coming soon to America thanks to fascist Obama/Shillary.

They should ban fascism, not Islam.

You know little about radical Islam.

We should put a dress code in place, only white people are allowed to wear what they want. Everyone else must have their wardrobe inspected by white people, and if it's not to the white people's taste they're executed. This is secularism, this is the way of freedom.

The French ban on face coverings is actually more extreme than the Dutch ban, it applies everywhere (besides with certain exceptions, like Motorcyclists wearing balaclavas in the winter), while the Dutch ban you cited only applies to educational and governmental institutions and not just any public place. It seems deeply ridiculous that you don't know this, Tom. It's also not just a ban on just burquas, in France if you walk around with a balaclava for no reason you are just as much in violation of it as if you were wearing a burqua. And it does not ban Islamic headscarves and other wear that do not cover the face.

lol.....if you had just said swimsuit in the first place there would have been nothing to discuss........rofl......"swim shorts".....
Well excuse me for using English not Yankish. Seems that for some people only a picture will do.

Yes I am fully aware of that, the real reason I suspect is that the Mediterranean towns in question are terrified that having burkinis on the beach will affect trade. August is the busiest month of the year on the Cote d'Azur and tourists are scared after all the atrocities of late.

Yeh I know, burqas, chadors and hijabs are banned but not hijabs and kimars.

Did you see how quickly the women in that liberated town in Iraq last week took off their burqas and burned them? They have no place in western society, they are a symbol of oppression. You are always banging on about misogyny yet one of the biggest symbols of that are garments like the burqa, why does the left have such fucked up thinking on these issues? I bet you've never even seen women like that anyway, there used to be loads near me but not so many now, I wonder why? I do find it mindboggling that you have women having a go topless day whilst people like you want to retain such archaic types of clothing. Would you be ok with chastity belts and genital mutilation as well?

The youths badgering them were not interested in trade??

Where they just interested in seeing skin?? Not all skin is created equal, it may be better that some(not necessarily them) are covered for the sake of others..:dunno:

I think you would have to be in France to understand it, my friends just came back from touring around Provence and the Côte d’Azur. They said the security presence is palpable in the extreme.

So Muslims can commit atrocities everyday, beat people, oppress women, but the 2nd a western country passes a tiny law limiting them, OUTRAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGE!

As so many minorities have found, the greatest French pleasure, other than guzzling, is bullying those too weak to answer back. Stopping little girls wearing headscarves like the Queen's is exactly their mark, like preventing Bretons using Breton names, learning their own language in school and such, That old-fashioned people go for old-fashioned costumes is normal the world over, but these strutting cockrells can only get by in their own patch, now the Nazis have gone home.
