I don't support parties as a whole. I just support certain people.
 
The two major parties have done an absolutely superb job of dumbing down their constituency to the point of them voting to enslave their offspring if it meant ensuring that the other side would lose.

What choice do we have? Even if a third, fourth, or fifth party could make significant inroads (and that ain't happening), I don't want to end up with "coalition" governments.

Parties can't dictate whether or not people can think for themselves. They can try, but the ultimate responsibility to weigh evidence and act accordingly rests with the individual. Maybe that's why so many people simply abstain from voting.
 
We need to stop electing multi-millionaires and multi-billionaires. They do not give a single fuck about us.

Its obviously a problem, especially the insider trading where they exempt themselves from what would put anyone else in prison.

But the worst part is that lobbyists are constitutionally protected. Any real fix is going to require an amendment. The vote or term limits wont even work as there is always another guy ready to be bought.

Any real fix is going to require a convention of the states because Congress isn't going to unvote themselves the keys to the country via legalized bribery and insider trading.

Last I checked 17 states are onboard..around half of the 35 necessary. It's going around...slowly.


Term limits and cut the lobbying/insider trading immunity out. That would go very far to getting back on track.
