“It’s a Race Against Heat, and Humanity Is Losing”

The Atlantic side will wash away pretty fast

The gulf coastal side may last a little longer

Pair the wash away with ocean level rise and you can see just how fucked Florida is now

More rich people retuning will only push the lower classes out, so those who left for economic reasons likely aren’t returning no matter how much they may desire too.

New York is a sizeable State, everyone returning won’t be looking for a place on the upper West side

Admittedly I’ve never been anywhere in the state other than NYC but why would anyone choose to live somewhere like Buffalo or Albany? Seems like you live there if you can’t live anywhere else. And people who left would want to return there?

Well, if the solution to this "man-made climate change" is just to bitch and whine about it, the moronic left should be solving this "problem" any second now.

“A recent study from the Climate Impact Lab finds that by 2100, heat alone could kill as many people as now succumb to heart disease, humanity’s biggest killer.”

“While temperatures can vary from one year to another, the trend is clear: Nine of the 10 hottest years on record have happened during the 21st century.”

“Even the Cold Places Are Hot Now. The Arctic is warming faster than the rest of the world. Parts of Siberia experienced temperatures 10C above average in May”

“Oceans Take In More Heat. While temperature records on land usually grab most of the headlines, Earth’s most dramatic warming is happening at sea. The oceans’ ability to capture and store carbon dioxide stopped keeping pace with emissions in the 1990s. A report published in June concluded that the oceans’ sponge-like capacity will keep diminishing”

https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2020-race-against-heat/

But, but, but, China ain’t doing anything, Gore flys in a superjet, and of course, “temperature can’t be measured,” anything but recognizing the reality, man made climate is real and we are seeing the results daily

The reality is, this was a single temperature buoy in a very shallow protected bay that doesn't get much circulation, and which has fresh water coming into it. The perfect recipe for a natural solar pond effect. Nearby buoys that were actually out in the ocean, had temps 10 degrees cooler (which, low 90s is very normal this time of year in Florida waters).

I don't think that we'll all burn up in either my remaining lifetime or those of my middle aged children.

Thus, this goes in the "someone else's problem" file.

Sure they would, to escape the heat and humidity, besides, neither location is bad, in fact, the Albany area, and that around it, are probably more attractive than many parts of the country, gate to the Adirondacks

And still no source, I’m betting some obscure ex weatherman blogging from his mother’s basement in Salina, Kansas

I would never live in Florida because of the humidity just as I would never live in New York (outside NYC) because it is fricking freezing and you’re in the middle of nowhere. That’s a miserable existence.

As far as people leaving Florida to go back to NY? I mean it could happen because nothing is static but at least at the moment, if I’m reading this correctly, Florida is the fastest growing state.

Again everything is fluid, but at least at the present New York is losing population. This may be short term COVID driven and will turn around soon but nonetheless the state better have another plan than climate change is going to make Florida unlivable and everyone there is moving back to NY.

The reading came from MAnatee Bay you clueless cunt.

this was the buoy
https://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=mnbf1

Here's the location of the buoy right in the middle of a protected shallow bay (you can even zoom in and see just how shallow the area is, as it has depths on it): https://www.usharbors.com/harbor/florida/manatee-creek-fl/map/#harbor-nav

Surrounding buoys in the actual ocean showed much lower temps.

How are you this fucking stupid?

You need any more sources shoved down your flapping cuntlips?

Personally, I hope humanity drives itself to extinction.

The sooner the better too, AFAIC.

I can envision decades from now, the sunbelt states being an empty, uninhabitable desert, with all the flora and fauna gone as well as all the ground water.

The entire southern US as one huge desert, with the east and west coast ends near the Atlantic and Pacific coasts, getting constantly slammed by multiple hurricanes all year every year.

Canada and Alaska packed until we destroy that place and it begins dying off too.

Mankind will reap what it has sown.

Clueless cunt indeed, Arsecheese is totally impervious to either reason or empirical evidence.
