It must be a magical time to be a racist

Pretty interesting how you call out Dems yet support their Keynsian economic positions

edit: nationalist conservative since im with the gop this time round.

That's just ridiculous, I have done my time in a cold climate and I don't plan to spend my remaining years in the miserable winters. I will do my part in Texas.

You were saying he should build a hotel in Detroit. What's the demand for it? Or should we turn into China where they build huge cities with no people in them?

What I would really love to do is to look at the organizations that we are members of. Say the UN, NATO, etc. In most if not all of those organizations the US pays the most. I would ask them to move their headquarters from brussells to detroit. The demand caused by such an organization setting up shop them would boost the local economy and create a lot of jobs and help velocity of money. If we are paying for these things and cant renegotiate because it would be a global disaster then we may as well use them as engines of development.

No, I'm saying when you raise the rate higher there will generally be less jobs at those rates which creates the higher barrier to entry. The number of people you can higher, and would take on a risk on hiring, at $7 is much more than at $15/hr. So the people that don't get hired are those "at risk"
nobody can live on that...that is $280 /week. I make more then that working weekends..What good is a job like that?

But if the state mandated a minimum wage increase to $15, say, then wouldn't all businesses have to pay that or more?

They would but at that rate there will be less jobs doing the work that was available at say $7. Does that make sense?

There's two competing interests with the minimum wage. You hear people talk about a "living wage" and that someone who has a family should be able to support them on a minimum wage salary.

But for young kids minimum wage jobs are about making money yes, but it's more about experience. And at the higher rate young "at risk" kids have less of an opportunity to get that experience. That's where they get hurt.

I'm saying he has the magic Trump brand, or so he claims, why can't he put his money where his mouth is. If he believes in making America great again, he can be the catalyst to the reseeding of the inner cities.

which is why he is going to be our president. As one man he can only do so much. With the power of the US government behind him he can revitalize multiple cities. Dont worry we will make america great for you too. :clink:

This is a great start, let's hope it spreads.
If it's anything like Baltimore, those projects are going to be supported by suburbanites..

Inner cities have blighted housing, poor health care, poor job opportunites , systemic poverty..maybe some educational opportunities..maybe

It takes more then a few projects inserted into Detroit to turn it around

Most young people live at home so they don't have to support themselves. The minimum wage was never suppose to be a wage for a grown up to live off of

the higher level jobs are becoming kind of a myth though. I mean i think if you actually calculate how many jobs give a living wage (and only calculate that as "employed") you end up with unemployment of like 50%. The jobs created nowadays are mostly part time jobs that replace the manufacturing we ship out.
