So this guy's bottom line is you can't regulate weapons cause there are too many of them in the US. If there are more cars out there than guns, how do we then regulate cars?
You want a solution, easy treat guns lile cars, require renewable registration, renewable liscense, operator training and test, plus liability insurance. Will it end gun violence, no, but when securing a weapon is more difficult it will limited access to any weapon of choice
Strange how despite all the regulations on cars there are more deaths each year than with guns.
That's not a solution. That's more ranting and raving by a gun hater motivated by his hate of guns than someone trying to solve a problem. The numbers refute your claim but I have come to the conclusion that you gun haters oppose facts as your hate has blinded you to the truth.
Only a very small percentage of gun murders are done with guns that were legally purchased. In 2014, the FBI indicated that approximately 8,100 gun deaths were due to firearm-related homicides. Only a small percentage were done with guns that were legally purchased. That means, moron, that most were done with guns that weren't legally purchased through something called a straw purchase, stolen, or bought on the streets by someone that shouldn't have been able to get one.
How do you propose those possessing those guns illegally renew their registration, license, do training/testing, and pay liability insurance? Since what you suggest won't change a thing, it's more proof that you simply hate guns and because YOU do, you want others to hate them or simply not own them.
Let's apply that to cars. How many drivers on the road today are driving without a license or insurance. Watch an episode of Live PD and see how many in just 3 hours on 1 night after being stopped have a suspended license, revoked license, or no insurance on their vehicle. A recent study showed that 13% of the drivers on the road do not have insurance.
What it boils down to is you want to institute things that rely on those intent on breaking the law thinking it will suddenly cause them to be law abiding.
