Israel's right to exist

The King David Hotel was blown up by the Irgun, which was commanded by Menachem Begin who was born in Brest in the Russian empire. MOST of the Jews involved in the fighting were born in Europe and their families had no connection to Israel at all, unless you want to count the fact that their ancestors were thrown out in 70 A.D.

You again deliberately ignore that Jews lived there before 1948, and in large numbers. In fact the UN "compromise" that was first proposed divided up that land by where each party lived in those numbers.

Pretending that this isn't true is just trying to rewrite history to match something you want to see rather than what was. That the "palestinians" (remember those people kicked out of Jordan who moved into the "palestinian" area? the ones we now call "palsetinians"?) rejected the compromise doesn't change this very real truth. Jews lived in that region, they were offered the land that they largely lived in.

This pretense is based in a wish to deny Jews Israel, not based in reality. Jews lived there. Pretending that they didn't to proclaim them not "worthy" of their own nation is just pretense.

You are as wrong as Bravo. Your distaste of Israel is shaped by your demonizing Jews. A pox on you both.

Actually if you notice my disclaimer in the OP? I have no problem against Jews as a whole. I have a problem with this FAKE ass jews that try to use a religion they do not believe in to achieve their greedy agenda.

I dont mind Jews especially the religious ones wanting to live in a land that has sentimental meaning to them(as long as they do so in a civil manner) . I have a problem with the secular jews occupying a country they have no right to occupy and using deceitfulness.

They were there in larger numbers than you want to admit, and you want it to be that way because you have some sort of belief that they shouldn't be there.

I have no understanding why you dislike it, but the reality is that compromise I mentioned really did split up the territory largely by population. Where Jews lived in greater numbers was to be Jewish territory, where "Palestinians" lived in greater numbers was to be "Palestinian" territory (again ignoring that those "Palestinian" people were far from indigenous and came to be there only because they had, most recently, been kicked out of Jordan as problematic people).

Personally I think they should have carved a huge chunk out of Germany to make into Israel. But I don't ignore what was real during that time. This is largely the Brits fault for promising the same land to two different peoples for their support against Hitler.

Sorry but history does not support your assertions.

In the middle of the 1st century of the Ottoman rule, i.e. 1550 AD, Bernard Lewis in a study of Ottoman registers of the early Ottoman Rule of Palestine reports:[56]

From the mass of detail in the registers, it is possible to extract something like a general picture of the economic life of the country in that period. Out of a total population of about 300,000 souls, between a fifth and a quarter lived in the six towns of Jerusalem, Gaza, Safed, Nablus, Ramle, and Hebron. The remainder consisted mainly of peasants, living in villages of varying size, and engaged in agriculture. Their main food-crops were wheat and barley in that order, supplemented by leguminous pulses, olives, fruit, and vegetables. In and around most of the towns there was a considerable number of vineyards, orchards, and vegetable gardens.

According to Alexander Scholch, the population of Palestine in 1850 was about 350,000 inhabitants, 30% of whom lived in 13 towns; roughly 85% were Muslims, 11% were Christians and 4% Jews[57]

According to Ottoman statistics studied by Justin McCarthy,[58] the population of Palestine in the early 19th century was 350,000, in 1860 it was 411,000 and in 1900 about 600,000 of whom 94% were Arabs. In 1914 Palestine had a population of 657,000 Muslim Arabs, 81,000 Christian Arabs, and 59,000 Jews.[59] McCarthy estimates the non-Jewish population of Palestine at 452,789 in 1882; 737,389 in 1914; 725,507 in 1922; 880,746 in 1931; and 1,339,763 in 1946.[60]

In 1920, the League of Nations' Interim Report on the Civil Administration of Palestine stated that there were 700,000 people living in Palestine:

Of these, 235,000 live in the larger towns, 465,000 in the smaller towns and villages. Four-fifths of the whole population are Moslems. A small proportion of these are Bedouin Arabs; the remainder, although they speak Arabic and are termed Arabs, are largely of mixed race. Some 77,000 of the population are Christians, in large majority belonging to the Orthodox Church, and speaking Arabic. The minority are members of the Latin or of the Uniate Greek Catholic Church, or—a small number—are Protestants. The Jewish element of the population numbers 76,000. Almost all have entered Palestine during the last 40 years. Prior to 1850, there were in the country only a handful of Jews. In the following 30 years, a few hundreds came to Palestine. Most of them were animated by religious motives; they came to pray and to die in the Holy Land, and to be buried in its soil. After the persecutions in Russia forty years ago, the movement of the Jews to Palestine assumed larger proportions.
—[61]

By 1948, the population had risen to 1,900,000, of whom 68% were Arabs, and 32% were Jews (UNSCOP report, including bedouin).

No one denies the existence of a region called Palestine...(along with other names for the region) all incorporated within other empires....inhabited by several tribes of people
including Syrians, Arabs, Jews and various others small groups....Palestine was a PLACE, not a PEOPLE

c. 1000 - 922
BCE
Legendary Hebrew kings David and Solomon reigned --King David is credited with creating the kingdom of Israel, “the first nation the Hebrews could call their own,” after “fighting his father [King Saul] over the rule of the states of Israel and Judah” and unifying the “disparate Hebrew tribes” of early Palestine --King Solomon's reign (circa 960-922 BCE), called the "Golden Age of Israel," was time of peace and prosperity,” during which “the Israelites fortified their cities and built a magnificent temple in Jerusalem, where worship of Yahweh was centered” .The First Temple in Jerusalem, considered King Solomon’s “crowning achievement and the Hebrews’ premier religious monument,” reputedly housed “the Ark of the Covenant”--i.e. the “stones on which were inscribed the Ten Commandments

Maybe you can prove that jews(Judea) was a people and not only a place? Note that even in Biblical times, Israel was ALWAYS ruled by a foreign ruler. Yes even the Kingdom of David. Mostly Egyptian and Babylonian.

Which again ignores, deliberately, the reality. The land the Jews were offered by the compromise was land where they lived in larger numbers than the far from indigenous "Palestinians". You want them to have "no right", but the reality isn't matching up to your wishes. They had as much "right" to that land as the "Palestinians". This attempt to revise reality to match what you want isn't working, even with the link to the library that shows that many immigrated there. With this I can actually figure out the numbers of the Jews that had to live there pre-1948 (remember some of the immigration was "others" and Arabs). Jews numbered in the 3 Million + range before 1948, and were offered land in the "compromise" where their population outnumbered the Palestinians. (total number of migration was just over 3 Million, 7 Million live there now, 1.7 Million of which are Arabs, and a number of those immigrating are Arabs and "other"...)

This assumption that they solely "came" there afterward is a poor assumption and isn't merited by the link as you claim.

No! The poster claimed that it was jews that were unwanted and that is a lie. Most welcome their dirty money. The Palestinians on the other hand are dirt poor, with only their land to survive. Take away their land and what do you have? Refugee camps all over the ME.

Who exactly are the Palestinians? What are they doing In Palestine? How did they get there? Do you they have an Islamic origin? How many were forced into Islam via the Ottoman Empire?

Same thing with the Gypsies. Where did they come from? They must have had a home land at one point. They were driven from the land and left to wonder the lands with no homeland.

As usual, your memory has failed you.

The "Palestinian Arabs" were rejected by every single Arab country, with the exception of the small percentage that ended up in refugee camps in Jordan where they remain to this day.

really? well guess what? most of the world has accepted israel, that's why israel is a full member of the united nations. Has been for more than 70 years now. most of the civilized world DOES accept israel. Israel is recognized by 150 countries. The vast majority of the world, vast majority of the people, and vast majority of government institutions all say yes to israel. How does that feel? Do you like being so wrong? I bet it doesn't feel so good, does it? Too bad. Israel is here to stay.

:dealwithit:

No! Most of the world DOES NOT recognize Israel! Sure some of the puppet leaders of The Zionist international bankers have but the majority of people DO NOT! Only the brainwashed Evangelicals! And every other Christian that believes that the Jews must return to the land for the second coming. Although they support the land? They do NOT support the Jews, since the Bible states they will be slaughtered and those remaining will convert to Christianity.

Also even if the UN acknowledges Israel? It and YOU ALSO must acknowledge the war crimes it is responsible for and the UN resolutions it fails to recognize!

Here's is a nice video to watch. And then we will talk about the Sabra and Shatila massacres in the words of an Israeli.

You can go on if you like. Doesn't matter to me. I've heard all kinds of propaganda and yours is not that much more interesting than that other garbage.

Ohhhhhh I see. Your in denial. Still believe that America is the greatest nation on earth(the light unto the world) thanks to years of nationalistic indoctrination.LMAO!!!!

What you call garbage? Most TRULY wise people recognize it as the truth.
