How do the Trumpies feel, its fun watching him get backed into a corner then punt. Will they evolve with him?
not surprising. also not surprised that the majority of you statist fuckwits want to deny people their rights. just saying.
The will of the people is subordinate to your interpretation of the Constitution?
the will of the people is subordinate to the individual rights of the people protected by the plain text of the constitution.
The will of the people is subordinate to the Supreme Courts interpretation of the Constitution.
As determined by you?
The will of the people is subordinate to the Supreme Courts interpretation of the Constitution.
again, i'm sorry you can't understand plain english.
Thoughts?
It's always been a logical measure and it's always been a constitutional issue all at once.
At the end of the day, it's typical 'let's do something that makes it feel like we did something'. The reality is terrorists will always be able to get these kinds of weapons because there are millions of them in circulation. In the event you go full blown fascist state and start confiscating the weapons, ______ terrorists and terrorists more generally will just turn to bombs or other means of killing people.
It's window dressing. And I'll say the same thing if it turns out Trump advocates it.
The bolded is an oft-repeated myth. If you look at this incident and who this guy was, it would have been MUCH harder for him to get this kind of weapon. It might well have been enough for him to abandon the plot, or go w/ something far less destructive. Your argument assumes that these guys are all career criminals with easy black market ties.
And it's a bogus argument anyway. Why have any laws at all? People will always break them, right?
How many illegal gun owners are just in Chicago?
