The military needs fresh recruits every year, and it’s putting money where the eyeballs are: sports. In 2016, more than 16 million people would watch the average NFL game. That’s a big audience. And a lot of those viewers are young and gauging their career interests — a jackpot for military recruiters.

There are people here in Phoenix that live close to the stadium (within a mile or two / walking distance) who are renting their driveways out for $200 to $500 a day for the weekend, and people are paying that!

It’s the biggest game of the year in the US but not sure it ever invoked patriotism anymore than any other football or baseball game.
