Is Gov Rick Perry the best choice to replace Obama?

Distraction?
America needs Jesus, that's not a distraction.
Americans need Jesus. But that is up to each individual, AS an individual.

America is a country made of people of varying faiths. As a Christian, I would love to see all come to Jesus, but that is NOT going to happen via our government, nor would I want to see it happen through government. "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's" applies here. Government belongs to Caesar. Faith belongs to God, and government should not play a direct role in that. Trying to do so would not only go against the precepts this nation was founded on, it would be a distraction from government (Caesar) doing what government is supposed to do.

There is nothing wrong with wanting men of God in government. There is something wrong with wanting to use government to force others to faith. What is forced faith? It definitely does not come from God, nor is it of God. I will not play a role that, nor support those who would.

Though the limit on role off faith and government also includes not playing a suppressive role. Maybe if the anti-religious would quit telling us where and under what circumstances we are "allowed" to express our faith, (while hypocritically allowing other faiths special considerations under the PC clause) then just maybe there would not be a proliferation of far right Christians wanting to go to the other extreme.

No body says the Government should force faith, though, did they.

Don't be deceived by the lamestream media. They fear and hate righteousness.

God tells us He will restore our nation if we will repent. Let us gather together, as a nation, as a people, and pray.

And the implication is that America will get that in the form of Rick Perry or Michele Bachmann????????????????????? How insulting and blasphemous..........................to God. I can tell you one thing:
God is not a Republican.

God also is not a Marxist. Rick Perry has actually run a state for 10 years. He's actually made budgets. He's actually done something. Obama is a clown.

Governor Perry's state has a budget surplus.

Doesn't THAT sound good?

He knows how to cut spending and Texas has NO STATE INCOME TAX.

True... and He isn't a Democrat, either.

That is why, given the choice between Obama and Perry, I'd vote for Perry. He'd be much more competent on economic/fiscal issues. The question is, how much time would he waste trying to push an extremist social agenda onto the country instead of focussing on what we need the most (jobs)?

Well, I apologize if I misinterpreted things, but when I say we don't need the distraction of a radical social agenda, and you respond with "Jesus is not a distraction", and also include phraseology like "God tells us He will restore our nation if we repent", it leads me to believe you are supporting government mandating, or at least encouragement, of a specific religion. That is not the job of government from any angle. God tells us (individually) he will forgive us if we repent. Unless you have access to new scripture, I see nowhere that He mentions our nation - we didn't even exist until 1788 - approximately 175x years after His Resurrection. These things indicate someone who would not hesitate to support changes to our government I am not willing to support - and would even oppose. While I resent the liberal anti-religion agenda when I hear stories such as people not being allowed to pray in public just because they are elected officials, going the other direction is, IMO, just as great a threat to the things that make this nation the best on Earth.

I could, possibly, support someone like Perry if I were not concerned that he would get too distracted by attempting to push a hard core conservative social agenda. But I have seen other speeches by Perry, and seen other information about him, NOT from MSM, that makes me wary of his social agenda.

Lick my scrotum teabagger.

You wouldn't say that to our face. That's the difference between a person who loves their country and scum like you who think you're entitled to be taken care of from the cradle to the grave. You're weak and pathetic. You need a nanny government to wipe your toilet seat because you're too much of a sissy to stand up when you piss.

No he didn't call your commentary disgusting and obscene. After the racist and hateful posts he's posted??? How come hypocriscy is the currency d' jour?
After he licks yours, he can start on me.

Another internet warrior who wouldn't say that to our face. Keep going. You're convincing the lurkers just exactly the kind of scum you and your pals really are.

Do you honestly believe the Tea Party wants government to force Christianity on the American people?

As I said, no one has said to force anything on any one.

Our Nation is not that old, but in 2 Chronicles 7:14 God promised "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land".

Our land needs healing, would you agree?

Read my lips "NO NEW TEXANS!"

No, Rick Perry is not the right person to replace Barack Obama. Although I do believe that he would do a better job.

The fact that the nasty and perverted people here hate and fear Governor Perry confirms his mission to become President in my mind.
