They are totally incapable of supplying a reliable source of power, and should be scrapped. The politicians have been conned by wily salesmen.

It's always interesting when those on the right take an "anti-green" position. Good luck w/ that one going forward.
I have yet to see a wind turbine destroy the fishing industry of of Louisiana.

I have yet to see a leopard choke on a lump of coal.
Or a liberal, more concerned with how things look then how they work. How does one assemble a windmill without the guy wires? My point is it's absolutely ridiculous that the wires would be optional. The person who assembled it must be an idiot ...
The fact that extreme high winds cause problems for wind turbines makes perfect sense. And the fact that they are taken off line when the wind drops makes perfect sense.
This is much ado about nothing, imho.
Stupidity seems reasonable to morons, true.
I have yet to see charver drink a pint of beer. I suspect he's a teetotaler.I have yet to see a leopard choke on a lump of coal.

interesting comment......completely false of course, but interesting.....the simple fact is, wind turbines produce more energy than they consume in production.....there is no logical reason to reject them....
the most interesting proposal I have ever heard.......have you ever had to change your tire along an interstate and nearly had the air sucked out of your lungs by a passing truck?.....someone has proposed building small, interconnected wind turbines that mount on top of those concrete lane dividers they use for construction.......turbines powered by the passing trucks and cars......
At most, such a system could only hope to recapture a small fraction of lost energy. Sustained natural wind is pretty much always going to be stronger (even, I imagine, IN the oil age).
