Iraq & Benghazi

People like NOVA post those comments all the time. I see them as largely irrelevant. Many are from the '90's - when Saddam was disarming because of sanctions and other measures. Not a single one calls for invasion or any large-scale military operation.

I don't forgive any Democrats for their vote on the resolution. But let's stop with this equivalency game. Bush fixed the intel around the policy. That should be criminal.

I posted a fact check on the quotes numerous times but bravs refuses to accept them. He takes hackishness to the highest level.

This is bull. Dems didn't lie about Curveball in a SOU speech. They didn't "fix the intel around the policy" to justify invasion. They didn't give Colin Powell's aide a "chinese menu" of intel and tell him to "make the case" for war.

neither did Bush.....

Bush's intel said the same thing that the Dems said. In fact, virtually every government's intelligence community said the same thing. If I recall, Russia, the UK, France, Germany and China all believed he did.

This is Hillary just a few months before the invasion:

“In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security.” — Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002

I still can't believe Dems can't accept the truth about this stuff after all these years. Willful ignorance must definitely be bliss.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm not voting for Hillary - specifically because of her Iraq vote.

But please stop with the equivalency. Did you read christie's link about the context? Every single one of those quotes basically changes. Many add that we should avoid any large-scale military intervention.

The Bush admin "fixed the intel around the policy." They told an aide to pick intel out of a "chinese menu" to make a case for war. Bush lied about an agent named Curveball & his intel in a SOU speech. Paul Wolfowicz famously said that they used WMD's as the reason to "sell" the public on war.

The fact that you & yours continue to apologize for Bush and try to create some kind of equivalency makes me sick. The President I want is the guy who bends over backwards to try to avoid war. Bush did EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE. He made a decision very early on that he was going to invade Iraq, and then tried to piece together what he could to "sell" that. It's despicable, and inexcusable. Hold him accountable instead of playing these nonsense partisan games.

I'm really getting tired of you constantly making shit up about what I say. I never apologized for Bush. In fact, early I said there was no justification for Iraq as they did not present a threat to our national security.

You and yours continue to be dishonest about what the dems say. You throw around words like equivalency, but that really is dopey. The fact remains, the tops dems and world leaders all believed Saddam had WMD's and many top dems thought he should be removed. There simply is no denying it and you somewhat agree because you won't vote for Hillary, but yeah, it is all about equivalency.

When you imply or say that what Bush said is the same thing as what the Dems said, you're apologizing for him.

Sorry. That's the way it is. And you haven't read christie's link yet, or you wouldn't be saying that.

I'm mainly not voting for Hillary because of her vote on the resolution. That doesn't mean I "somewhat agree" with you.

He did say the same thing, Iraq has WMD's, Saddam must go. Those are the facts. You denying them makes you a democratic apologist.

You want desperately to try and deflect by talking about context, but the context is clear from the quotes and it is clear from the paragraph quote I put up of Hillary, but yeah, her words make me an apologist.

You really are dopey when you dig your heels in. You simply are incapable of being open minded.

Translation: I won't read christie's link. I'm allergic to the truth, and my doc told me to stay away from it.

What an intelligent reply and way to deny the dems said the same thing.

LOL

Typical dopey stuff you pull all the time. Lame hee haw translations.

What "context" changes that she said he was a national threat to the US? What "context" changes that she said he as WMD's and is increasing his stockpile and harboring terrorists, including AQ?

Seriously, your need to apologize for the Dems and pretend that only Bush said it is dopey.

Do you think it's intelligent not to go to a simple link because you're terrified that your fixed ideas will be challenged?

Do you just want me to agree w/ you that context never matters?

In your world, what Hillary and other Dems SAID is much more egregious than what Bush DID.

It's what partisanship does. You lose perspective.

Again - by making all of these excuses and apologies, you are not holding Bush accountable. No one on your side really does. It's why I started this thread. The hypocrisy is completely overwhelming to me.

Read christie's link if you have any courage. That list of Dem quotes is exactly what I said it was: lame, and largely irrelevant.
