Truth is Prince was a minor celebrity that no one really cared about. But the "Today" show this morning made his death the lead story and it's all they talked about for the first 15 minutes. Which proves they are racists who want to celebrate all non-whites even when they don't do anything of note. Prince was just a silly useless entertainer of no more value to america than a basketball player. If Prince was white the press would have ignored his death, as they should have.
 
It's okay for you to just post "I'm not that into music, and don't know much about it."

And there is a pretty lively thread in the off-topic forum.

In his world there's no such thing as a successful black person. He's basically called Dr. Ben Carson a no talent *ss clown for instance. I know he's a troll so I just laugh when he says stuff like this.

Not like this. And Bowie as an entertainer was much bigger than prince. Fact is both men were of no consequence and their deaths should be ignored and it appears most americans have done that. But since the press is in the entertainment biz, they think these deaths matter. THINK, hater

In an interview here in Columbus a local reporter asked guitar legend Eric Clapton (who owns a home here) "What does it feel like to be the worlds greatest living guitarist?". Clapton replied. "I don't know....ask Prince.".

Always thought 'greatest guitarist' was sort of apples and oranges anyway. But for someone who didn't feature guitar playing as much as singing or song writing, Prince was pretty crazy on one.

Prince was a prodigy and a genius. They come along every once in a while and shake up the established order of life and cause upheavals and revolutions in the given order of things as Prince did in music. All us mere mortals can do is stand back in awe and astonishment and appreciate what they do.

The brightest flames usually burn out first. We're lucky Prince's talent burned as brightly as it did for as long as it did.

My only complaint was I never got to see him perform live.
