When you factor in inflation and cost of living....the Minimum wage right now is LOWER than it was in 1956, when it was $1/hr.

It has nothing to do with 'might making right'. But the liberal mindset that you get to demand companies pay you more is quite ridiculous. If you feel you deserve more, fight for it to be sure. But the nonsense of a universal strike somehow being the solution to income inequality is a joke.
what did he not give them?
the proof was in the pudding dude.
he made this country do their bidding
deregulation
I don't know about that. Think of how the various transportation strikes can bring a city to its knees, por ejemplo. And about 20 years ago we had a newspaper strike that went on so long, the paper went under.

he did exactly what they wanted.
How is deregulation an historically failed idea? And how is deregulation only a Republican idea considering Democrats have been big deregulators themselves?
And to just throw out "deregulation" with no context shows how little you know. Deregulation like anything else can be done in a good way or a bad way. Such a facile answer to throw out that word.
every time this country gets talked into deregulation by the right the people get screwed.

how dumb are you not to see the pattern?

Deregulation[edit]
The deregulation of S&Ls in 1980 gave them many of the capabilities of banks, without the same regulations as banks. Savings and loan associations could choose to be under either a state or a federal charter. Immediately after deregulation of the federally chartered thrifts, state-chartered thrifts rushed to become federally chartered, because of the advantages associated with a federal charter. In response, states such as California and Texas changed their regulations to be similar to federal regulations
President Carter deregulated multiple industries. President Clinton deregulated the financial industry. So President Clinton and his top advisors who supported deregulation actually didn't support it but were forced to support it against their will because of right-wingers?
California deregulated wholesale prices but not the retail prices which is why the state got into the energy mess that we did.

yeah and you guys had NOTHING to do with it.
You see this is what your party does.
they blame others for cooperating with them.
meet them in the middle with compromise and then they blame them when their own ideas fail
