Inequality In U.S. Is Scarily High, Rising (INFOGRAPHIC)

But "might makes right" is a-fucking-OK, isn't it?

It has nothing to do with 'might making right'. But the liberal mindset that you get to demand companies pay you more is quite ridiculous. If you feel you deserve more, fight for it to be sure. But the nonsense of a universal strike somehow being the solution to income inequality is a joke.

Anyone see the previews for "Elysium", coming out later this summer? Can't wait; it looks like it takes the trend to its logical extreme down the line, where the earth is just a big slum/wasteland for everyone who doesn't have money, and there is a luxury space station w/ the best of everything, that only the rich have access to.

Sounds like San Francisco and a liberal nirvana

Sorry, but it is Democrats and their desire for an ever bigger influence of the federal government that is hurting the average worker. So it is the Dems that vote for Dems that are actually voting against their economic self interest.

Um, no, it's the growing income inequality which is happening due to rich peoples influence on our govt.

I saw the movies that has Time as the currency.

people truly live day to day.

they have to earn the hours to LIVE the next day.

interesting concept

apparently SF didn't understand - this is a movie. I haven't seen it, but have discussed it. Rich people lived a lot longer. Poor people, if they didn't earn enough time that day, died. It really brings home the whole balance of power stuff.

And why are millions living paycheck to paycheck? because they don't get a decent wage.

or they could be spending more than they make?

or they could be over taxed?

or prices could be going up due to inflation due to the feds printing presses?

Any number of reasons. Expand your mind to other possibilities.

Have you ever thought that maybe if the government didn't allow itself to be influenced? remember, the founders believed that in order for our system of government to work it requires a moral people. Unfortunately, morality has been eschewed as "old fashioned" and going back to the 50s.

Not necessarily. People could earn more and then spend more and still live paycheck to paycheck. I live paycheck to paycheck. If I choose to live a different lifestyle I wouldn't have to live this way but it is what I choose.

You are quite sad. what exactly gives you the impression I am not aware it is a movie? Oh yeah, you pulled it out of your ass.

My comments were directed at Desh's comment that it was an interesting concept. Sorry you made me dumb it down to the point that you could understand.

SF sounds like he has a bad case of the Mondays.

1) Love Office Space

2) Funny how you liberals ignore the vitriolic hate being spewed forth from the left on this board, but then pile on when a conservative on the board returns some of the fire.

the deal was all people when they turned 25 never aged another day.

But on that day their clocks start ( glowing forearm tattoo like thingy) they had 24 hours and from that point on had to work to earn more hours. Everything cost time. Scan your arm to pay.

It was a interesting way to stress what day to day living means
