And the real amazing part is those blue collar, just barely making it, under-informed, Fox watching republican voters who are hastening the inequity with every vote by stupidly and continually voting against their own economic self interest. Sometimes it feels as if we have fallen through the looking glass.

Many of us have predicted that this would happen. Businesses exist to make profit. Providing these benefits are used to attract talented people from the competition. But, if the government creates barriers whether direct or indirect that hinder the ability to make a profit, the business owner has a simple choice to make. Close the doors or reduce expenses to stay in business. What you are seeing is the latter. It is the worker who is suffering and naturally the blame is misplaced.

Sorry, but it is Democrats and their desire for an ever bigger influence of the federal government that is hurting the average worker. So it is the Dems that vote for Dems that are actually voting against their economic self interest.

They don't mention it in your article but going forward Obamacare is going to contribute to part-time jobs growing as companies look for ways to avoid the health care act's burdens on them.

How many of the jobs 'added' this year were part time vs. full time?

What happened to the underemployment rate this year thus far?

Try and get liberals to answer the above...

When the production stops and no one's working in stores, restaraunts, factories(those that are left), and other sources of capital....yes we will. Lech Walesa ring a bell?

when millions who live paycheck to paycheck go without a paycheck... what do you think will happen?

Anyone see the previews for "Elysium", coming out later this summer? Can't wait; it looks like it takes the trend to its logical extreme down the line, where the earth is just a big slum/wasteland for everyone who doesn't have money, and there is a luxury space station w/ the best of everything, that only the rich have access to.

I saw the movies that has Time as the currency.

people truly live day to day.

they have to earn the hours to LIVE the next day.
