In defense of Trump's turnover

Actually I don't. Can't stand the guy. I prefer the old guard like Bush I or Gerald Ford. Dole would've been fine. There will probably never be another Reagan with the charm and wit in my lifetime.

you do recall that Reagan was at odds with Bush and Ford, right?.......

For the sake of discussion let me play Devils advocate. When you claim as one of your strengths that you are going to hire the best and brightest and then continually fire them what does that say about you? To work at the White House is always going to be appealing for some but I don't see what's currently happening as fostering an environment where the best and brightest want to join.

CA...I am reminded of a comment Groucho Marx supposedly made in a telegram to his golf club: "PLEASE ACCEPT MY RESIGNATION. I DON'T WANT TO BELONG TO ANY CLUB THAT WILL ACCEPT ME AS A MEMBER."

My feelings right now are: Anyone willing to take a job in this White House...is most certainly NOT among the best and brightest this nation has to offer.

My first year and a half as a small business owner I fired somebody about once every two or three months, sometimes more. Believe me it was a bad experience but I had no choice in every instance. They all had to go and I had no regrets. The last 8 years I don't even have to advertise or do much of an interview for a new employee. I pay well, never lose my temper, am fair, have a great policy manual that I've updated from time to time. My little organization is simply the place to work in my industry.
When I lose an employee it's because they move and there's always someone ready to quit their job and work for me. I just make a phone call or get a recommendation from the exiting employee.
Trump is attempting to drain the swamp, not an easy task. I'll give him 2.5 yrs. If there's still the chaos in his admin that he has now I'll reconsider.

what you are saying is that you lack personnel skills like trump.

I think there's a good possibility that he's a mad genius. He ran the worst campaign I've see in my lifetime yet won the presidency in his very first run for any political office. Even you have to admit that's astounding.

They will never admit it but it’s historic.

I think Trump wanted to reboot in order to deal with China/NK. Tillerson was good for phase one but he needed someone with a different skill set to deal with Kim. Someone who is something like a hawk. Someone like Pompeo.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Tillerson was replaced *within a week* after Kim decided to punt on his nukes. This is a opportunity for Trump to achieve something truly historic and he wants the right people in place.

Trump did good in picking Tillerson—Tillerson was instrumental in getting the Saudis to moderate. If Pompeo has equal success with NK, get the history books ready to print.

While The Secretary of State was in Africa trying to clean up The Ass-Hole in Cheif Shit-Hole remarks ... the Coward Trump didn't have the Balls of a 2 year old to say it to his face.

What a Fucking Pussy ... now he's reduced to the Internet for toughness.

And, with allllll the nonsense and distractions thrown at him as never seen before with ANY incoming president.....not bad for a guy who has NEVER been in politics.

I thought of you and a couple of other decent-seeming people here when I read this.

...
"He is the ugliest personification of the Ugly American, which is why, as long as he is here and as long as he represents this nation, we will be a fractured mess and a global embarrassment. He will be the ever lowering bar of our legacy in the world.

"And what is painfully obvious in these moments, isn’t simply that the person alleging to lead this country is a terrible human being—it is that anyone left still defending him, applauding him, justifying him, amening him, probably is too.

"At this point, the only reason left to support this President, is that he reflects your hateful heart; he shares your contempt of people of color, your hostility toward outsiders, your ignorant bigotry, your feeling of supremacy.

"A white President calling countries filled with people of color shitholes, is so far beyond the pale, so beneath decency, and so blatantly racist that it shouldn’t merit conversation. It should be universally condemned. Humanity should be in agreement in abhorring it.

"And yet today (like so many other seemingly rock bottom days in the past twelve months) they will be out there: white people claiming to be good people and Christian people, who will make excuses for him or debate his motives or diminish the damage.

"They will dig their heels in to explain away or to defend, what at the end of the day is simply a bad human being saying the things that bad human beings say because their hearts harbor very bad things.

"No, good people don’t call countries filled with beautiful, creative, loving men and women shitholes.

"And good people don’t defend people who do.

"You’re going to have to make a choice here."

Actually the vast majority of them either can't get the clearance to work in the White House or they just didn't want to work for an Ass-Hole.

Yes exactly, it is an extreme tough task to retrench all the malevolent and reactionary forces at play in Washington. He has made a good start with the EPA, but there much more to do. The place is just full to the brim with lobbyists, lawyers and other assorted pond life,

Trumps erratic manner of running the WH, especially his turn over rate, even has my ardent Trump supporter step father groaning.

My step father was head of a large division (I think 200 or so people) and he has been a fervent Trump supporter from almost day one. For him to criticize Trump on his lousy hiring and management skills in the WH should say something.

Trump is an idiot.

Trump is running one of the largest businesses in the world. That is not the same as his Trump business. Trump has chosen agency heads and staff horribly. They are trying to wreck departments from the inside. He is not dumping interns, but older ,well experienced and educated adults. Trump is not draining anything. Those are silly words. He is destroying regulation and safety to please the plutocrats and corporations. We are going to spend a long time trying to fix Trumps mess.

Sorry, but Trump is nearing 50 percent turnover. it is far above any other presidents. That is evidence of very poor management.. He does not not evaluate people well at all. There is a lot more turnover coming. So Trump is a mess. We can just hope to survive this.
Good grief, what sanctimonious bullshit.

Do you recall when all of you berated Hillary for being in the pocket of Wall Street and big business? As you know, and refused to admit, Trump is far worse. He hasn't drained the swamp but filled it to the brim.

You would be laughed out of every place I have ever worked for suggesting complete chaos is a good thing.
Don't worry, we laugh at you here. It is rare to encounter such a simpering, supercilious and sanctimonious arsehole.

Trump has been half assed his whole life. Look at his track record in business and his personal life.
