Trump says we have been cheated by trading partners for many decades. We are the wealthiest and strongest country on the globe through that time. That is not very good cheating, is it? We exploited their laborers to build our stuff and evaded environmental regulations. They have been plundered and made filthy by our manufacturers. Yet Trump says they were cheating us.

It reminds me how just a few weeks ago, the economy was going to crash, and all prices would rise, and inflation would continue to rise, and the stock market would collapse, and we only have 5 years left before the environment kills us all......wait are we still doing that one? LOL

Trump backed down because he was shown the error of his ways. That is why he is called TACO. Unlike you, he was shown and apparently understood the problems his stupid tariffs were causing. Tariifs are passed along by raising the prices. The manufacturers and importers will not absorb the higher prices.
