In 2000 both Bush and Gore challenged the election results.

What is ambiguous about this exchange?

Wallace: "Do you make the same commitment that you will absolutely accept the results of this election?"

Trump: "I will look at it at the time. What I've seen is so bad..."

Wallace: "There is a tradition in this country...is the peaceful transition of power, and that no matter how hard-fought a campaign is, that at the end of the campaign, that the loser concedes to the winner...and that the country comes together."

Trump: "I will tell you at the time. I will keep you in suspense."

Because if you read this - Wallace is talking about ultimately conceding the election & accepting the results.

He didn't commit to it, when twice given the opportunity. He said he'd keep us in suspense.

It's a pretty easy, straightforward question Wallace was asking. Trump wouldn't say yes.

Wallace didn't ask him if he would eventually concede he asked if he would concede the election results which he shouldn't if the fix is in which it is.

Why do we even care if Trump accepts the results? Are we really supposed to fear his supporters? Come on, they're a harmless bunch. Hell, the fights at their rallies were staged by liberal operatives. Trump supporters couldn't even start their own fights!

I don't really care much what Trump does. I prefer he throws a huge temper tantrum and further rips the integrity of the Republican Party.

BTW, Gore, very respectfully and gracefully did accept the election results once he ensured that all the votes he could get counted were counted.

What are you talking about?

No one is saying that Trump can't make challenges according to the laws.

They're balking at the idea that he won't commit to conceding the election.

Those are 2 completely different concepts.

When did trump say he will never concede? THINK

Which is NOT the same as saying all the votes were counted. The 2000 election was a bad joke. I recall jay leno saying "The supreme court has picked our president. I remember when it used to be the other way".

I don't really have the time nor the inclination to educate an ignoramus like you, but the closeness of the 2000 Florida vote demanded a recount.

Fact is that Trump is going to get his ass kicked so bad, that will not be necessary. Fuck him and his concession. The election will be certified without it.

so basically it depends on the result and how close it is to determine? Does that mean we wait till election day?

Or does it mean we should commit to accepting the result no matter how close or how far it is?

i recall the sc had to step in and gore wanted to keep going :)
