Grover Norquist would HAVE no Power without the money people being behind him.
Think on that one for awhile
and obama? soros.....
One of these days, Yurt, you'll be able to assess something on its own merits as opposed to through a comparative lens. And I'l be SOOOOOOOO proud of you!
are you denying soros helped obama?
You know Grover is another politician with a well deserved right wing reputation who I've met that I genuinely liked. He was erudite, informed, a good (and polite) conversationalist. He listened well, was completely charming and had a wry sense of humor. I met him back in the late 80's when I was still a Young Republican and he was all ready a national leader in Republican politics. He has an undeserved reputation of being a bag full of dirty trick power broker like Karl Rove, he's nothing like Rove. In fact he's a far more principled person then Mr. Rove. I bought into his agenda back then but Grover never was a knuckle dragger. This is something that unfortunately is true. Why they listen to that jackoff so intently is beyond me. Especially if they are going to keep spending like drunken liberals.

Another right wing politician I've met that I geniuninely liked and was impressed by him was John Ashcroft. Bush's first atty general. I met him when he was running for the Senate in MO. Mr. Ashcroft was extremely personable and had an impressive sense of humor. He liked to laugh and make other laugh and was very good at putting people at ease. I was still a Republican at the time but I was no longer a card carrying active member. Mr Ashcroft and I live in different worlds where our political beliefs are concerned but I can honestly say I came away from the meeting liking the man immensly. Wouldn't of voted for him in a million years but that was nothing personal. I just didn't share his beliefs. Still liked the guy though.
I guess that shows you just how poisonous politics can be if you take the crap in the media to seriously.
Not only did you avoid dealing with my previous point, but you'll either avoid this one or BS around it:
Please show valid, documented proof that Democratic Congressmen/Senators signed a "pledge" drawn up by Soros. If you can't, then your trying to make some comparison to Norquist is ridiculous.
Here we go again.
I'm curious, what are his high crimes and misdemeanors for which he should be impeached?
Well then. IMPEACH THE BASTARD!He's a lawyer.
and you're still avoiding answering my question about soros. who cares about a pledge....help is help. you're throwing red herrings and i'm not biting.Originally Posted by Taichiliberal

hat you have Senators/Congressmen sign a pledge to a lobbyist as to how they are to perform their duties INDEPENDENT of the oath they swore to uphold the Constitution and the execution of it's laws with regards to the constituents of their various states,
