Imagine you are an ISIS leader...

So, just for a second imagine you are an ISIS leader.

You have just pulled of a huge plot to blow up the airport at the European Capitol, the media is going crazy, you are getting the attention you so desperately crave.

Everyone is talking about it and they are afraid of you, finally you are getting what you want....

So you go to the internet or television to see the terror in the eye of the President of your biggest enemy, you cant wait to see President Obama cutting short his international trip because of actions you are responsible for, you cant wait to see him huddle with is advisors about what to do about you, you cant wait to see him shaking in his shoes...

You flick on the television and there he is, Dancing the Tango in Argentina. (I LOVE IT) Its exactly the image I want the ISIS leaders to see, they are a fly speck on the wall of history. They cant even interrupt the President of the United States from his Tango lesson!

Now, I hope and believe that behind the scenes Obama is having meetings and on the phone directing a strong response, but the optics should show him dancing the Tango all day!

So Bush was correct in continuing to read to the school kids and not create a panic. :good4u:

Nobody else wants to share an opinion?

The Cons seem to be leaving in droves, could it be the current political environment does not serve to encourage them to discuss politics?

So like Desh, you expect JPP posters to just jump at the opportunity to respond to your comments. :palm:

He undoubtedly set in train the birth of Daesh by pulling out all the troops in Iraq and telling everybody in advance.

Daesh was born by Iraqi de-Bathification ( I realize you know the players) , but he surely opened wide the doors to Iraq
when he wouldn't even hit their convoys in open desert

^ ISIS convoy into Ramadi - where's the US Air Force?

They were JV at the time.

The number of followers is not the point, the point is that Phelps, no matter how many followers he is able to garner and no matter how much power he attains, is not representative of Christianity.

Then explain the difference between when Phelps tries to interrupt a burial or such, there are a great many people who show up to block his stupidity; but where are all the Muslims stopping all the beheadings, stoning's, throwing homosexuals off of roofs, etc.??

More Americans were killed the same day on the highways, do you think he should have hidden in his hotel all day because of that?

How many of those killed, were a planned idea to kill them??
Seeing as how you want to try and make such a convoluted comparison.

Not to mention a great many of these interrupters are Christians, themselves. The Phelps comparison is threadbare and ridiculous.

Interesting. Now you love it. In 2001 when Bush didn't "leap into action" he was mocked and derided by your side of the aisle.

Typical GayRod. Party over principle

The optics are important, it would have given the ISIS member on the street a bit of encouragement to see the President react.

Instead, they pull off one of their biggest days... and what the hell... he's dancing the Tango in Argentina and going to a baseball game in Cuba.

Do you really think that is what they are thinking? Do you think they are going to pack up their jihadi bags and go home because Obummer danced the tango?

My opinion is the terrorists don't give a crap about Obama one way or the other lol. They are going to keep doing what they do regardless of what Obama does or what Trump says. Their mission is to bring infidels under submission to Islam.

It's really not that hard to figure out.

Well you know that and I know that, but GayRod apparently doesn't know it or doesn't believe them. Remember GayRod was once peddling the line that these guys aren't "real muslimes"

no they were not. they were a main player in Syria, and the only one to spill over to Iraq.
why would you not hit this?

Point scored lol. Trump would have vaporized them and sent them off to the virgins and paradise.

I have no idea why you wouldn't hit the target. Unless, it would make for bad optics after having labeled them JV?

I'm going with it.

Maybe they are and maybe they aren't. That's the thing we need to ignore just like they ignore our domestic politics. What we need is someone to step up to the plate and say 'this is radical Islam, this is what it does and stands for, and we are going to crush it's adherents'.

Leave it to the global Muslim community to sort out the theology.
