AHHHHHHHHHHHHH, so you're basing this on the idea that he didn't "keep" you calm.![]()
Huh? Where did I even say or imply that?
Ridiculous.

Not sure why you're putting "FEEL" in caps, as though it's an emotional thing.
Every reasonable American should want their President to at the very minimum be curious when he hears the nation is under attack - but as CIC, he needs to excuse himself from that classroom. It need not panic anyone - he can be polite & calm about doing it. But he's CIC, and the nation was under attack.
"My Pet Goat" brings out the inner Bush apologist in every rightie. It's not a debate. It's a minimum expectation of a CIC.

Ridiculous.
You have still failed to show what benefit would have occurred, by excusing himself early.
I keep using "FEELS"; because you've shown nothing of substance to support your erroneous conclusion(s) and have presented nothing but conjecture and what you "FEEL" he should have done.
I'm not sure if I can say it enough, USF. I have said quite a few times at this point - it turned out that nothing he would have done could have made much of a difference.
Then why did you start complaining; because as Hillary would say - "What difference does it make", except to something to be used by liberals, to whine about.
Everyone knows that if President Bush had gotten up, excused himself, and left the room where the kids were; liberals would have started with - Bush panicked - He left those kids, when he didn't have all the information - Bush was scared so bad, that he ran from the room - etc.

That's absurd. No one would have said he ran from the room. All he had to do was calmly tell the kids that the President had some business to take care of, and had to excuse himself early, and that he hoped the goat was fine in the end.
What you're basically saying is that it's fine to drive drunk, as long as nothing negative happens.

To talk about this some 15 years later is frankly ludicrous, why do people still go on about it?
The fact that it turned out there was no action he could have taken doesn't make his actions correct (thus, the drunk driving analogy - which is spot on, btw). At the time, he had no idea if he could or couldn't have done anything. Again - he just sat there.
It spoke to what kind of leader he was, and what kind of CIC he was. You seem fine w/ it. I wasn't.

When did you decide to turn into such an emo; because without any more info at hand, you wanted him to just get up and leave.
You're analogy is a good example of exactly how the liberals would have screamed to high heaven and want to know, why couldn't he have just stayed and left after more info was in.
OMG - HE TRAMATIZED THE CHILDREN.
