Proving you have the right to vote is not a poll tax by any stretch of the imagination, and its the CONSTITUTIONAL DUTY of the government to see that only citizens
are voting.....

People prove they have the right to vote when they submit a voter application properly filled out, and the election bureau checks it before issuing a voter card.

Yeah... I would take the money in a heart beat from the government program that trys to pick winners among corporations. No more funding Solyndra or Pelosi's solar company with tax payers dollars until this great issue the Dems love bitching about (but never DOING anything about).

The problem is the voter ID laws. You're trying to solve a problem created by the Voter ID laws. If you just get rid of the Voter ID laws, there is no problem.

Yes, there is. There is the problem that 21 Million Americans don't have ID. ID that is required for employment, check cashing, financial accounts etc.... this solves all the issues.

Requiring someone to prove their identity in order to vote for our leaders is hardly a major issue... unless you are one of those who are worried it might prevent something other than the ability to vote? Perhaps the ability to vote more than once? or to vote without being a citizen?

They are all discussed at length in the report linked at the OP. That you are unaware of them is not surprising. It may explain why you can't see the obvious: Republicans are engaged in a coordinated voter suppression campaign.

I did not state I was unaware of them you hack. I said I discussed the biggest one. I also stated if you wish to discuss any of the others in particular, to state which ones and then we can discuss them. But instead you chose to simply revert into your stupid fucking attack mode.

People CLAIM they have the right to vote when they submit a voter application...they don't PROVE anything....
A drivers license will get you registered to vote, it doesn't prove you're a citizen and election bureau checks NOTHING before issuing a voter card..well, maybe the address you claimed was yours, but then voters are well know to register with empty lots as a address....

You're starting to lose your grip on reality over this subject....

The Government is not creating any barriers to those people getting an ID.
Ergo: They have disqualified themselves and not the Government.
