I'm starting to change my mind on Trump!

First of all, you need to work on your reading comprehension skills if you think you read where Dixie said he supports Trump. I don't believe I have made such a statement, and at this point in time, I am still undecided on who I will support. I am merely having a conversation with a pinhead, about Trump as a candidate. Let me repeat myself a second time here, I have not stated I support Donald Trump for president. Studies show people have to read something three times, before it actually sinks in, what has been articulated.... so for a third time, I have never stated that I support Donald Trump for president.

Now.... Unless you are profoundly retarded, perhaps you comprehended me?

Aww how cute... Trump is a Big Fat Dummy! Is that it? LOL ...that's good, retard!

You know.... the way things are going, by time to vote, people might just be saying.... We're heading to hell in a buggy, may as well have Trump driving it... at least the trip won't be boring! I personally know a LOT of people who are just fed up with politics in general, left AND right, and might be inclined to vote for Trump just to inject some outside blood and shake things up.

Look... I know, pinheads are all on their little blogs trying to figure out how they can still justify supporting Obama after all that has gone down, and the idea of Trump running is somewhat of a topic of humor amongst yourselves... and that's fine, I understand you have to have levity. But the reality of a populist candidate who has money and name recognition, and the ability to command an audience, and leadership experience, and business experience... who isn't tied to party politics... who can't be bought off by special interests... My goodness... something like this could go viral! Yes.... If I were a pinhead, I think I would definitely be downplaying Trump, throwing every mean thing I could say at Trump, and doing my best to dissuade righties from supporting Trump!

King of Names should change his new(est) name to King of Dipshits.

lol dixie, your op is one step away from liking his blue jeans. You are basically slobbering all over him. Of course you support him.

mmm i wonder if he works on his ranch like G dub. Those were some good times.

This Trump thing shows that the republican party should change its moto to "we are the suckers born every minute".

Trump is playing these people big time.

The Trumpster is just a kid from Queens that made it.

Anyone who trusts what Trump says is a fool

Okay, does anyone see a legitimate argument against Donald Trump here? We have yet another impassioned flurry of posts from pinheads on The Donald, and not a single one of them is anything more than petty carping and personal insult. We're not hearing of incidents of corruption, or unethical behavior, we're not hearing about his terrible decision making or lack of leadership, or connections to questionable characters... Nope.... we hear more of the same stuff.... Trump is Dumb! You are dumb if you like Trump! He is an idiot! You are an idiot if you like Trump! Donald Trump is a fool, and you are being fooled by the fool! LMFAO.... that's all you people have? Juvenile put-downs and insults?

This is why I think Trump could do very well against Obama...they can't think of one rational complaint or raise one legitimate issue against the man... all they can do is act like 7th-graders! Now, I don't know, maybe that works on Americans, maybe people won't vote for Trump because they fear being called "dumb" by pinhead liberals? The liberals better hope that's the case, if this is the best they can come up with.

I wouldn't argue that Trump is dumb - but he is delusional. And he has a "foot in the mouth" problem.

He'd fall apart for any real stretch on the campaign trail. And that guy knows how to insult when he gets offended...

I wasn't bashing trump at all. Mine was more of a media criticism than anything. Frankly, I know next to nothing about Trump's politics and don't really care about him one whit, although I find the idea of his candidacy to be quite hilarious.

One thing strikes me as odd, though. You are quite vocal about how the Republicans shouldn't let their opponents choose their candidate (as you claimed was the case with McCain) yet your support for a Trump candidacy seems to largely be based on your perception of liberal reactions to him. I find that pretty odd.

What I most fear with Trump is having the same thing happen as happened in Colorado. He doesn't get the nod, the GOP selects a weak candidate, Trump jumps to run as an "Independent" and hands the election to Obama by splitting the vote.

Appearing on Hannity’s show on Thursday night, the billionaire real estate mogul declared: “We go to Iraq, we spend $1.5 trillion and our cities are dying all over the place. They don’t have any money. Iraq has the second largest oil [reserves] in the world — $15 trillion worth of oil, second only to Saudi Arabia.

“We go over there, we decapitate their armies. They have weak armies. It’s a corrupt society anyway. We then leave and Iran will come in and they will take over Iraq within two seconds after we leave.

“They won’t even have to fire a bullet. I hear they’re already making political inroads.

“They’re going to take the oil. So they’re going to get the second biggest oil [reserves] in the world. We made it possible with our soldiers, thousands of people dead, wounded, and less importantly, $1.5 trillion.

“So I said very simply that if it’s me, we take the oil.

“In the old days when you win a country, you win a country. Now with our stupid people we win a country and we lose money, we lose soldiers, and then we leave.

“At a minimum they [should] pay us back the $1.5 trillion. That’s a minimum.”

Trump, who said he will announce whether he is running for president before June, described himself as a “conservative with a big heart” and “Obama’s worst nightmare.”

“They do not want to run against me. I get it and he doesn’t get it,” Trump said.

He also disclosed that he won’t run for president as an independent in 2012 unless he is confident he can win and won’t risk siphoning Republican votes and helping Obama gain re-election.

Really? Foot in the mouth problem? Sort of like Joe Biden, eh? ...Name one thing Trump has said, that he had to walk back because he stuck his foot in his mouth? Just one thing, I'll wait..... the thing is, what Trump says that might be considered taboo by other trained politicians, is resounding with the voters, who are sick of politics as usual. He stands by every word he says, and to my knowledge, hasn't said anything that he had to take back. Unlike our illustrious VP, who can't open his yap without racially offending Indian people or displaying his profound ignorance of the Constitution.

I have to be honest, I support a Trump candidacy because it challenges the Republicans as much as the Democrats. Let me note one more time, I have not said that I support Trump for President. It remains to be seen, who I will ultimately vote for... But what Trump adds to the equation, is candid honesty, and an ability to address issues the others are afraid to touch. If nothing else, I think this strengthens the right for the battle to come with Obama in the general election, regardless of whether Trump wins the nomination or not.

Uh huh. Just wait until he calls someone a fat pig, and alienates half of America, or makes a typical mysoginistic comment, and his campaign is in damage-control mode. See, it's cute when it's on a reality show, but not so cute when we're all looking for "Presidential."

You are funny when you get behind someone. You tend to candycoat all of their negatives, but w/ Trump, when the media glare gets turned up as it only can in a campaign, just look out...

Again... Not "behind" Trump. I don't know who I support at the moment, I have not made up my mind. If you guys think it's some kind of insult to keep claiming I support Trump, that's fine... it's not considered an insult to me, just inaccurate. I don't support Trump for president at this time, I remain undecided.

And for the record, he already called someone a fat pig... and she IS a fat pig.... and he is still wildly popular... so there went that one!

Are you referring to the recent gubernatorial election? Didn't the Dem get over 50% of the vote? It seems to me that the Dem would have won anyway...

The dem wouldn't have gotten close to it if the two "conservative" candidates hadn't chased away the independents. Really, it was a case of the GOP snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Worse, it flowed down from that seat into others. While the GOP overtook the House, it wasn't able to in the Senate, although pre-polling showed they would until Maes wound up being the candidate and Tancreado decided to make himself the "other option" in the hopes of getting Maes to drop out.

It was a painful lesson.

He also disclosed that he won’t run for president as an independent in 2012 unless he is confident he can win and won’t risk siphoning Republican votes and helping Obama gain re-election.

Which is almost exactly what Tancredo said. Tom really wanted Maes to drop out, Hank Brown would have likely run and we'd have Governor Brown right now, however Maes wasn't going to drop out for any reason, even when he must have realized he had zero chance of winning and he'd be handing the Governor's mansion to Hickenlooper.

It is a risky proposition to be sure...

True. But right now I believe he's doing more good for the GOP than bad. He's opening up for almost every type of policy criticism by speaking out against Obama. Whomever our candidate is won't have to face the constant "racist" cries for speaking out on policy like so many people had to face in the previous election. Obama talking about how he "didn't look like the other Presidents" and that was why people spoke out against policy... so forth.

No mention of salting their fields or enslaving their women? The Pussification of America is complete.

As if we don't already have enough goddamn problems getting out of Iraq, do we honestly expect to saddle them with a 1.5 trillion bill for a war they didn't want and expect our rule there not to fall to pieces? That's a dozen times the size of the Iraqi GDP (contrary to whatever Trump thinks, you can't just pop all of the black stuff out of the ground at once). This is worse than the Treaty of Versailles already, and they're supposed to be a friendly nation. Trump has lost this round of international politics.

Reading through the stupid comments on Trump one has to wonder at the power of sound bites. Iraq does not want a complete US pull out. They know Iran is poised to take over. Trump's idea of leveraging that against getting paid back are the kinds of ideas that makes Trump popular. Trump understands what China's manipulation of their currency is doing to the dollar...he gets it and as he said Obama doesn't. He's a man who can put his finger on the policy fuck ups of Obama and say "this dude is clueless" and most American's, whether they like Trump or not, agree with his assessment. As you state, pointing out Obama deficiencies is good for the GOP.
