If Trump gets that far with this, Obama doesn't have a chance.
That's a fairly delusional thing to say - but unsurprising, given some of your past pronouncements.
Trump would get obliterated in a general election. It wouldn't even be close....

I don't know, but I was probably right.
Look, he hasn't won the nomination, he hasn't even announced he is running, no on has really... so it's way too early to tell... we don't even know if Trump's amazing poll numbers would translate to actual votes or not... that remains to be seen. A lot of people can be pissed off enough right now to SAY they would vote for Trump, but when they are in that booth and ready to pull the lever, will they actually do so? This is just something we don't know yet, and can't really predict. But like I said... IF (note the word) Trump should win the GOP nomination, it means the unconventional has become conventional, and it means this election will not fit the mold of tradition. Party politics go out the window, and all bets are off as to who will win the presidency. Obama can win a campaign against a traditional candidate, he knows what to do, what to say, what tricks to pull out of the hat... it's his game to lose. With Trump, he would face something unlike any politician in modern times has had to face, and I don't think he can beat Trump, if the snowball has taken him to the nomination. If Trump gets that far with this, Obama doesn't have a chance.
Yeah, you would think that.. You would also think, any GOP candidate who mentioned the birth certificate would immediately kill any chances they had too. Any candidate who is talking about going to the middle east and taking their oil, would be castigated and marginalized as a nut... but it seems like, the more outrageous Trump talks, the more his poll numbers rise. Perhaps the "novelty" wears off, and his support begins to erode? That may very well happen, I haven't said or predicted it wouldn't.... BUT... IF he wins the nomination, there is something to this... he has broken down the barriers and changed the game as we know it. If that is the case, Obama is in serious trouble, because he has no idea how to play Trump's game.
You can think whatever... 8 weeks ago, if you had told me Donald Trump would be leading the polls for the GOP nomination, I would have thought you were crazy.... If you told me he would get there by raising the issue of the BC, threatening to take the Arab's oil, and get tough with China... I would have thought you needed to be institutionalized. Yet, that is where we are! If I were you liberals, I would be wishing and hoping for something to derail the Trump train before it picks up steam, because this spells trouble.
I don't want caricatures like Trump or Sarah Barracuda because I believe in a strong 2-party system - not because I'm afraid of them, as you generally insinuate. Both would basically represent a "gimme" for Obama, and wouldn't either put pressure on him or force him to reconsider some positions. They'd be a cakewalk.
Now, if I were you & your party, I would concentrate on making this a tough election for Obama, and picking a candidate who a) isn't delusional, b) is intelligent and c) who can actually present a challenge. If you pick Trump, I'll enjoy the entertainment value, but mourn somewhat for another election - like '96 or '04 - where the opposition party basically punted...
Trump doesn't get away w/ it, though. Have you been paying attention this past week?
The guy has foot in the mouth disease. Forget about it; you're new to Trump, and don't realize. When the lights start to get turned up real bright, we'll get some real gems out of him. He'll be in constant damage-control mode...
LOL
who is surprised dixie supports trump now?
I mean... WHO THE FUCK IS SURPRISED?
lets just turn our entire electoral process into american idol. Lets get 2 former reality tv contestants as possible front runners for the highest office in the land...Oncelar, you are wrong on one thing - there are SO many dumb people in america. You are wrong if you think either couldn't get elected....Mccain only lost to obama by a 3 pt swing. Think about that. In an election about change and a new direction, the hip cool candidate only beat the out of touch dinosaur with PALIN AS VP by a 3point swing....We are a nation of proles. Do NOT underestimate the proles. Do not estimate the number of retards like dixie, with their gunracks and confederate flags on the back of their pickups. Do not forget that there are legions of americans that want a dumb president, because americans are dumb, and don't like being reminded about how proleish they are by having an elite, intelligent, articulate president. We want someone that squints their eyes and thinks over the tough questions like evolution and sunrises.
First of all, you need to work on your reading comprehension skills blah blah blah deny deny deny
How is Trump suddenly a populist? He recently spoke about how embarassing it was that the White House used a tent for larger entertainment gatherings, and wants to build the most magnificent ballroom the world has ever seen in its place...
What I most fear with Trump is having the same thing happen as happened in Colorado. He doesn't get the nod, the GOP selects a weak candidate, Trump jumps to run as an "Independent" and hands the election to Obama by splitting the vote.
