”Florida rejects 54 math books, claiming critical race theory appeared in some.”
“The Florida education department has rejected 54 mathematics textbooks for its K-12 curriculum, citing reasons spanning the inclusion of critical race theory to Common Core learning concepts.”
“The rejected books make up a record 41% of the 132 books submitted for review, the Florida Department of Education said in a statement.”
“Of them, 28 were rejected because they "incorporate prohibited topics or unsolicited strategies, including [critical race theory]," the statement said.”

Love to see how one uses mathematics to teach CRT, maybe referring to select numbers as Prime designates class, especially if you write them using black ink. Don’t tell me making those denominators always on the bottom isn’t Marxists.
DeSantis just can’t help himself, attempting to portray himself as Trump lite, he has to insert all the right catch phrases and dog whistles in everything he says and does, in fact, nearly everything he does is centered upon the same theme
Poor anchovies. Examples of what some of the rejected books are in the other OP’s on this topic in this forum.
They are not using CRT in the public schools.

Yes, they are, but they aren't teaching the theory but rather using CRT to shape curricula and content. The most glaring example of it is the ongoing use of the 1619 Project framed as history rather than as historical fiction.

Is it your position that textbooks should be allowed to contain any sort of content the author(s) choose regardless of what that content is?
Nice try at ad hominem as a red herring. The question on the table is, should states regulate textbook content?
I think my community can decide which topics are ok and which should be avoided
Isn't it amazing how no other state and no other local system saw these problems? In fact, even the local school boards in Florida did not see these problems. DeSantis will not release these problems, but we know that no one else in the world saw a problem with these math books.
So we can either believe everyone else is too stupid to see the secret plot to promote racist math, and DeSantis is trying to cover it up, or that DeSantis is a liar, and trying to cover it up.
We don't know that.
