If solar panels are considered green, why do they produce so much toxic waste?

There is a huge problem with toxic waste from solar panels but nobody seems to want to address it seriously. Cadmium, lead and arsenic are used extensively in their manufacture and nitrogen trifluoride, a greenhouse gas over 17,000 times more potent than CO2, is produced during their lifetime of 20-30 years. This is an environmental nightmare being stored up for the future yet you'll never hear it talked about by environmentalists, liberal politicians and news outlets.

Organic chemistry based solar cells are still in development, the dominant technology for the foreseeable future is silicon based. I know a fuckton more about this stuff than you, for my third year chemistry project I had to research, make and investigate the properties of ferrocene. At that time it had no known use but has since been put forward as a contender for organic based cells.

I refer you to my signature. Most rank and file libs are completely ignorant of any facts surrounding these supposedly "green" technologies, they simply regurgitate the issued talking points.

It's why they backed legislation that basically outlawed incandescent light bulbs, in favor of CFL bulbs, which contain mercury, and wind up in landfills because libs are too lazy to recycle the bulbs.

You may "know a fuckton more" than I, however, in your ignorance, and stupidity, you do the usual right wing dumb fuck conclusion and ignore the advances of technology. CO2 levels from fossil fuels were many times higher in the past yet technology has improved that situation. Now technology will replace fossil fuels with something even better, and you will still be whining like the spoiled child you are.

Try actually reading the opinions of others for a change instead of relying on your own stupidity:
