Trump's love of the uneducated is self-serving.
Despite having educational opportunities the likes of which few ever have,
he still managed to learn pretty much next to nothing.

You can stuff an orangutan into a tuxedo, but it doesn't make him a good dancing partner.

When it comes to politics I think many of us tend to like people who share our world view and vote the way we do, and dislike those who don't.

For decades among white voters, those with college degrees voted for Republicans. That changed I believe in 2016 but definitively in 2020. It's why you see this total change in rhetoric. You now hear some Republicans saying you shouldn't go to college and you hear Democrats sh*tting on people without college degrees.

Just goes to show that people, and political parties, are not static.

The whole business model of Fox and Newsmax is to misinform people, and that works best when your core audience is poorly educated.

To be clear, plenty of high school graduates are smart, but some significant fraction just skated through and never took the opportunities in life to improve their knowledge and mental acuity.

We don’t have much of a basketball history but the last four years have been among the best in school history so it’s fun to see us make the tournament and be competitive.

I re-read what I wrote that you wrote dream on too and I’m not sure what you think I’m wishing would happen.

He said in that speech he won the evangelicals, the highly educated and the poorly educated. Then he said he loves the poorly educated. How that line still triggers folks today is beyond me.

Because you don't hear Democrats talking sh*t about poorly educated minority voters and how easily they are manipulated by racial demagoguery because you like how they vote.

Trump's comment might be the most Christian thing he said in his life. (he didn't say it for Christian reasons but nonetheless it was showing love to the lower class of society)

The impetus for this thread was actually polling that I saw where Trump was either even or ahead of both primary opponents, and a potential Biden match-up. They went deeper into the polls, and what keeps Trump ahead and viable are people with less education.

It made me think of Trump's quote about that, which is why I used it. It's just a fact. It's not be trying to disparage anyone.
