I bet more than a few have heard their parents say, "We'll wait until tomorrow to see if things are better before we visit a doctor." Doesn't take a lot of sophistication to figure out doctors are expensive.

How many teenagers do you think haven't heard their parents talk about the cost of health care? How many teenagers haven't heard about the health care debates. Just about every web site has had articles on it. Every Right wing politician, every day, talks about repealing ObamaCare.

Please don't judge teens by your own stupidity and ignorance.

I think it mostly comes from parents who think electronic devises are a substitute for parenting. It comes from parents who do not teach their kids the value of a dollar earned; a lesson learned and the reward of hard work as opposed to getting that new shiny whatever it is they want, whenever they want it. It comes from parents who help their kids avoid consequences for stupid or bad behavior.
