"I am going to get assault weapons banned."--President Biden

Do you do much black powder? I have a .54 caliber Hawkins plus some pistols, all .44.

I have a TC New Englander in 50 cal, two 1970’s model H&R Huntsman’s in 58 cal, a more modern New England Arms Huntsman in 50 cal. Have killed deer with them all but I’ve killed so many with the New England Arms Huntsman. When I target shoot, I prefer using the smoke poles. With the primer shortage I’ve invested in a No. 11 primer making kit so I can make my own out of pop cans.

I’m always tinkering with molded bullets, using the drill press to hollow point some, trying to create the most accurate and lethal load. Like I said in an earlier post, I keep resisting buying a Crocket 32 cal for squirrel hunting, hoping the urge will pass soon. Getting harder to resist every time another one pops up on my SM feed.

I’ve had various pistols but don’t currently have one. The coolest one I had was from an old man at church. He had modified an old Kentucky musket, making it shorter to make it easier to carry. He made a stock and fashioned a pistol out of the part of the barrel he cut off. It was surprisingly accurate.

My cousin also has a small cannon that we fire off at celebrations…4th of July and New Years. But we use Pyrodex in that because it is cheaper than black powder.

Love messing with black powder guns. My wife doesn’t mind me using the sink to clean them either. :D

It will happen some day, a few more school massacres or mass shootings, which are nearly guaranteed to occur, and the pendulum will swing so far in the correct directions that even the gun manufactures propaganda won't be able to stop it

yes, we the people will stop you from turning the country into a dictatorship.

it was a major victory for tyrants......any PERSON that believes their nation will be 'free' by banning any kind of weapon doesn't deserve freedom.

We did quite well beck in the not so long ago days when certain weapons were banned. There were far fewer deaths and injuries and rarely the mass shootings which are so common today.

No, rather that a review of American History shows that the Founders intended for Americans to have guns, don't ask, it is as stupid as it sounds

It is the absolute height of stupidity to believe that the founding fathers would guarantee ONLY the government to have weapons after they had won independence from their former government that tried to take their weapons..................

irrelevant to freedom. The founding fathers distrusted government in all forms, which is why they created one with many restrictions and limits on their powers as prescribed by the Constitution. The government was created to protect the exercise of the RIGHTS of the people, not protect the people themselves.

'SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED'

Reading is fundamental, and context clues are your friend.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Doesn't say a damn thing about certain weapons bans being unconstitutional.

there are numerous citations from the founding era, before and after ratification, that specifically state that the government has zero power or authority over the arms of the people.
