The "story" is that "They're getting dangerous criminals and drug dealers off the street". Nothing could be further from the truth. They're hanging out in Home Depot parking lots arresting day laborers. They're arresting bus boys, nannies and fruit pickers.

And if trump is so "concerned about drug crimes" then explain why trump pardoned Juan Orlando Fernandez WHO MOVED TONS OF COKE INTO THE US.

The "courts" won't be able to decide as long as trump's thugs are blocking access to investigate.

You are partly correct. 2000 ICE agents was unnecessary and trumps bravado in announcing this made matters much worse. I would have much preferred a small contingent showed up unannounced with specific targets in the city's gang problem.
