How should the Dems counter the TEA Party?

I've been trying to think of how pinhead dems can combat the impending TEA Party onslaught, and I think I have come up with something! I know they tried to form some kind of "Coffee Party" a while back, but it never produced any results, other than some extremely hyped up and edgy democrats. They need something that will resound with pinhead liberals across America, like the TEA Party has resounded with conservatives. The answer was an epiphany...

The TEAT Party! (Tax Everyone All the Time!)

Let's face it, social justice is going to cost a fortune. Ensuring that everyone is adequately cared for from cradle to grave, with a government teat in their mouth, is very costly. The only possible way to accomplish all the lofty goals of the liberals, is to implement perpetual taxation on all things at all times. From the time your alarm clock goes off (noise tax) to when you use the toilet (human waste disposal tax)... when you step outside your home, each step you take should be taxed to offset your carbonic footprints. Every breath you take needs to be taxed, you are using precious resources! If you look at a tree or flower, you should pay a natural beauty appreciation tax, why should that be "free?" I think there may be a LOT of potential here, we can think up all kinds of new innovative taxes for people to pay, in order to fund socialism.

Don't you think the question is really "How will the Republican party counter the Tea Party?"

This is the kind of thinking that creates a Tea party :

“Historically, it’s going to rank as one of the most productive Congresses in recent time, comparable to LBJ’s first two years, and maybe even Franklin Roosevelt’s time” when Social Security was created, said Thurber"

The left thinks that generating new massive laws and regulation is productive ... what was it that Washington said? Oh yeah check below:

there is no countering the TEA party anymore. the republicans need to adapt to us and become way more fiscally conservative or stay the minority forever.

I think the Tea Party shows a profound interest in fiscal conservatism. The social conservatism is what will cost the GOP. The lack of fiscal responsibility will cost the DNC.

The tea party will make Republicans a permanent minority. Look at the nut jobs who they are putting forward. Rand Paul, Angle, O'Donnell?

This is what I mean about Republicans needing to counter the Tea Party as the Tea Party will take the Republican party even further to the right (and their all ready to the far right) which is politically suicidal. Republicans appear to be on the verge of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory! LOL

if actual fiscal conservatism is to far far right then i found a new label for myself.

No they don't. Listen to their talk. Their mouthing platitudes that they don't have the first fucking clue about. Fiscal conservatism is not just some words that a bunch of good ole boys agree about, it has specific meanings and these clowns in the tea party aren't even remotely interested in making the hard decisions that would be neccessary to qualify as "fiscal conservatives".

Let's be clear about this. Their conservative about jack shit. Their just a cohort of good ole boys and gals and what they say is conservatism is conservatism to them and I seriously doubt their going to let something as inconsequential as facts change their views.

Mark my word, the tea party may sound swell this election cycle but they will rapidly become a lead anchor and an encumbrance to the Republican party.

Maybe, if it was actual fiscal conservatism but when they aren't even serious about making commitments to cut spending in the biggest of government programs, just make a bunch of big talk, their not really fiscal conservatives. Their hypocrites.

Well the real test will come if they win office and how they vote.

If they get that far but how are they going to get their when they are either unready or unwilling to talk specifics. Tea Baggers primary objective is to limit the size and scope of our Government. Fine, how specifically are they going to do that? What specific programs will they cut and to what degree will they cut them in order to achieve those objectives. Tell me what they specifically going to do? Don't give me some stupid bull shit like "Well there going to get rid of waste full government programs!". Fuck that. Name them and tell me how much they spend now, where there going to cut them and by how much. Cause if their not willing to make those hard decisions then there just blowing smoke or are just flat out stupid.

My idea is that the reasonable, thinking adults take back America and not the fundamentalist. Everything in moderation is my call!

"Social Justice"?, which of your pundits used this term incorrectly?

Found who champions the "social justice will cost a lot" Glenn the Beck, son of godman!

Social conservatives and neocons both are claiming the Tea Party. I doubt it results in a more fiscally conservative party.

Well they had their own Contract With America equivalent I saw awhile back. As far as offering a specific budget I doubt you're going to get that from any candidate. I do believe Paul Ryan of Wisconsin wrote something pretty close to what you are asking for though.
