How could they justify not prosecuting Trump at this point?

Because no crime was committed, the President is literally incapable of violating the Espionage Act you dumb fuck, he is the end all and be all of classification, deal with it retard.

You seem incapable of recognizing who is and who is not President.

Biden - President
Trump - private citizen

He’s not president

Sorry Clyde, but when the POTUS says it's declassified...IT'S DECLASSIFIED.

DONE WHEN HE WAS POTUS...AND TYHE DEMTHUG GESTAPO KNOWS THAT; THEY WERE THERE LOOKING FOR THE EVIDENCE HE HAS AGAINST THEM FOR THE RUSSIA LIES SEDITION, AND THIS WAS JUST THEIR EXCUSE = WHY NO REASON IS GIVEN.

NO ONE IN THE DOJ HAS THE POWER TO DACLARE WHAT IS "CLASSIFIED" OVER THE POTUS....

LOL.. you sound like Nixon. "IF THE PRESIDENT DOES IT, IT CANNOT BE ILLEGAL".

You can't take the stuff he took. His security clearance has been revoked. He broke the law, Charlie.

Even if they *were* declassified, those documents belong to the government, i.e., we the people. He had no right to them after the Four Long Years of Sorrow thankfully ended.

But we can't even concede the first untrue point - "that they were declassified". You can't take documents, that need to read in a secure room in normal times to you house. No one can.

His security clearance was revoked. No one, not even a former president can take that stuff.

How could they justify not prosecuting Trump at this point?

David Petraeus got two years probation and a $100,000 fine for MUCH less, Petraeus only had one document.

Petraeus fully cooperated once it was identified that he had the document. He did not try to hide it. He did not try to pretend it wasn’t classified, and he did not try to convince the FBI that he had turned over everything when he hadn’t.

If they don’t prosecute Trump, how could they ever prosecute anyone else for these types of crimes?

no good evidence.

presidents can declassify things.

no crime here.

you people shot your dicks off again.

Yep. But since it was #TRE45ON who did it, it's okay. Yeah but Hillary's emails!

dude......I'm not the prosecutor......I don't have to prove the evidence doesn't exist.......but the lesson here is for you........wait until somebody shows some evidence before you shout about how much time Trump is going to spend in jail........you've been doing this for six years and your stupidity is getting old.......

Best you cut out that 6 year bullshit, its getting old.

Yep, according to the MAGA cult. Laws, rules, and facts are all mailable, based on on whether you're a Democrat or a Republican.

If you're Sandy Berger, a Democrat taking docs form the archives? Hang him!

If you're Donald Trump - he was just "taking work home", although, his "work" for America is forever done, thank goodness.

You're you're donald trump stuttering getting town names wrong and just being a total babbling douche - "he's a truth teller"

If you're Biden and you stutter, "He's senile! Invoke the 25th".

I think y'all see where I'm going with this :)

“The Supreme Court determined in its 1988 decision on Department of the Navy v. Egan that the president’s power over classified information comes from executive authority granted by Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution, which says, in part, that the “President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States.”
“His authority to classify and control access to information bearing on national security and to determine whether an individual is sufficiently trustworthy to occupy a position in the Executive Branch that will give that person access to such information flows primarily from this constitutional investment of power in the President, and exists quite apart from any explicit congressional grant,” the Supreme Court decision reads.”

David Petraeus had Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (the highest kind) that was stored in an unlocked area and that he shared with his mistress and he lied to the FBI. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor. Petraeus' mistress was his biographer and they found over 300 classified documents on her computer.

The documents were declassified.

No case and I hope Trump sues the Hell out of the J/D and the FBI for using the awesome power of government to go after a potential political rival...in the former president’s own home...unprecedented...never done in the history of America.
