House Begins Moves Toward Rejecting Tax Cut Bill

The pipeline. Jobs. America has always been pro business. America has always been a capitalist nation since inception. If you don't like it here then why don't you leave.

America was founded on the Federalist Hamiltonian model, not the ignorant liberal Jacobin model he rejected and the Republicans now embrace.

if we had spent the money on alternative energy that we spent on the iraq war (and continue to spend trying to repair broken soldiers due to the war) we would be close to enery independence - solar panels for homes and business roofs alone would have been paid for many times over

The only way you could possibly know that is if we happened to have an alternate universe to peer into that would show what would happen if we decided to waste trillions on technology that doesn't exist to avoid using what does as a bridge to alternate energy. I don't think that exists.

We agree that Iraq was largely a waste, but that doesn't mean that without it we'd be ready to roll out new energy sources at this time. In fact, we'd likely be right where we are now on the energy front, with a bit less money used to purchase "cool" toys for the military to use built by Americans.

It's seriously short-sighted by both parties to ignore the very real solution of energy independence now as a security measure. Everything needs to be used, including research into new technologies. A realistic approach with a bridge using our own resources.

Some of the 1%. However, the biggest threat to the productive class is from fellow travelers, useful idiots who believe in the lies of the 1%.

Which lies? The democrat lies purchased by the 1% who donated to the democrats, or the republican lies purchased by the 1% who donated to the republicans?

The whole idea of "the 1%" is just an attempt to create a divide by manufacturing an "evil". If you want to stop the power of the 1% run for office and reject their money, or vote for people who do the same.

Uh, that was a while ago. The Senate reached a compromise deal that Boehner said he had no problem with so they passed it thinking Boehner knew what the fuck he was talking about. Not too much to ask from the Speaker of the House. The problem is that Boehner doesn't control his caucus, his caucus controls him.

no.....the problem is, the Democrats wouldn't vote to extend the tax cuts for a year, like the Republicans already had.......Democrats hate tax cuts......

Good luck with that.

It's good to know that you are a more hardcore believer than the Wall Street Journal editorial board. Yikes.

This is fucking hillarious thanks. You Eco-terrorist are dog shit at real world analysis. Solar companies are going bankrupt by the dozens. Chevy cant sell the volt. Solar is 1 percent and not moving fast. Forget reality give us some more bullshit comedy to laugh at.

I mean...... I don't know what planet you live on, or where you learned math, or even IF you learned math... or maybe you have no concept of how many homes and businesses are found across America... or how much solar systems cost... ???? Maybe you're just a retarded idiot? Let me demonstrate:

125 million = Number of homes in the US.
27 million = Number of businesses in the US.
-----------------------------------------
152 million = Total homes and businesses.

$35,000.00 = Average price for a 5kw/h Solar system.

152 million x $35k = $5,320,000,000,000.00

If we had saved every penny spent on every war America has ever fought, including the cost of the Cold War... it wouldn't total this amount.
