Btw Stretch, this showed up in the news today. So those in the military demanding respect need to learn it's a two-way street.

Officials reiterated there is no place for racism in the Air Force.

A photo shared on Facebook shows a dry erase board with the words, "go home n-word" written on a dorm for cadet candidates at the Prep School.

That is an enormous amount of supplies. Millions upon millions of tons of cargo. Vessels of war, including landing craft and helicopters, do not have that kind of capacity. To bring that kind of aid requires ships. Big cargo ships.
Let me give you a quick example. A 20 foot shipping container loaded weighs about 21 tons. A 40' container loaded weighs about 27 tons. The biggest helicopter the military has can lift 14.5 tons give or take. An LCAC landing craft can carry between
50 and 70 short tons. Those are set up for wheeled cargo, not containers. Ships carry hundreds of thousands of tons of cargo.

I just got back from camp pendleton. They look pretty large at ACU-5. Bunches of them sitting there. Load a Ro-Ro with them fully loaded and storm normandy beach with aid.
