I think Nixon called himself a Quaker.I suspect Trump is agnostic.
Nixon was a Quaker. I believe Quakers are Christian.
Cypress claims he was an ardent atheist yet Nixon made occasional references to faith in his speeches and writings., never a word about being atheist.I think Nixon called himself a Quaker.

Does not make him an atheist.Nixon's parents were Quaker.
Once he became an adult there's no evidence he ever again attended Quaker meetings, or showed the slightest interest in attending any church whatsoever.
I didn't have a category for deist, and lumped Jefferson and Lincoln in the agnostic category because they didn't seem to be really be Christian in any recognizable way, although Lincoln seemed to have flirted with Christianity late in life.George Washington was a practicing Anglican in the Church of England, something any aspiring noble Englishman would do. And, yes, up to the Crown and British Army rejecting him for a full commission as a colonel of regulars and kicking him to the curb as a 'colonial' not worthy of being made a noble.
At that point, Washington began to switch to religions in the colonies and break ties with England. Clearly, Washington saw religion as much a political thing as one of worship. He certainly wasn't agnostic though.
As others have pointed out, Nixon was religious, even held services in the White House (he eschewed going to any church in DC), but was conflicted in his views. He certainly was NOT an Atheist.
Trump is more an agnostic tending towards secularism than an Atheist as well. I see him as not making religion a serious issue.
Biden and Kennedy are / were Catholic and much was made at the time about Kennedy's election as a Catholic.
Most other presidents were Protestant to one degree or another.
Jefferson was more a Diest than Agnostic according to most accounts. That is, he believed there was a God but didn't see that god as a Christian, Muslim, or whatever one.
Lincoln was likely agnostic in religious views.
These aren't hard and fast categories, and I'm doing more lumping than splitting.Does not make him an atheist.
Their actions speak for themselves. Trump is a mammon-worshiper. Ergo, atheist. Nixon was raised a Quaker but violated Quaker principles by serving in the military and swearing to oaths of office. Please inform us where Trump and Nixon referred to themselves as atheists.
Agreed. Nixon never acted like a Quaker. His actions indicate he was an amoral atheist.Nixon's parents were Quaker.
Once he became an adult there's no evidence he ever again attended Quaker meetings, or showed the slightest interest in attending any church whatsoever.
Materialistic people are often godless. Ergo, atheist. These aren't hard and fast categories, and I'm doing more lumping than splitting.
Jefferson and Lincoln were not recognizable as Christians, but they both believed in universal values, providential design, and accepted the authority of Jesus as a teacher of objective moral values.
In other words, they were flirting on the boundaries of Christianity, and at least seemed to accept some aspects of region, aka I lump them in as agnostics.
There's no evidence Trump and Nixon ever genuinely had any interest in anything religious, had no interest in thinking about ultimate truth or the metaphysics of reality, and obviously neither of them look to Jesus as a moral authority.
