The other thing about that clip that infuriates me so much is that anyone who spent more than 5 minutes outside Ground Zero, even weeks after the attack, would have dust caked all over their clothes and skin. Trump is immaculately clean in that clip. So I think he was literally just being driven around in his limo looking for a camera to posture into.

If he is paying them, they certainly are his employees. The owner of project pays the bills. Any contractor working on that project works for the owner. There is no way around that.

For someone that is supposed to be a contractor, you certainly show quite often you have no clue what it entails. He pays all the contractors. End of story.
 
Trump did not say he dropped in hazarding the 4-mile drive and showed up in a suit. He implied he was a near first responder. He said he spent lots of time down there. It is not true.
