That is not correct

Democracy is a political ideology, socialism economic theory, you can have a democratically elected Gov't with a socialist or partial socialist economy, as is the case in the vast majority of developed nations in the world

No nation today, none, has a straight capitalist or socialist economy, they are all mixed economies, the US has been part socialist since the 19th Century, if not before that time

Does one really opt out of the parks or jails just because they aren't using them? You are still paying for them, you can opt out of SS, just don't collect it when your time comes

Let's give them the option of refusing clean drinking water and inspected food...although Trump and his corrupt cronies are making the choice of drinking toxic water and food okay and non-negotiable.

Obama did indeed attempt to do some good but I knew we were off to another right leaning start as soon as it was clear that no bankster would be held accountable for the 2008 Wall Street debacle.

You can opt out the parks by not paying the fee. You can opt out of jail by not committing crimes. You can't opt out of paying social security...

Pelosi and the DNC led that charge of not holding the Bush Admin accountable. In fact, she worked with him on the war on Iraq. It's why I did not and do not fully support her. The Black Caucus wanted him impeached........but once again, we were ignored.

President Obama had to do what the establishment wanted him to do. Look how many dems ran against him 2016. He could not and would to go out on his own like dump does now.

President Obama would have been impeached if he didn't present the status quo.

I respected Obama and voted for him twice but he was too Centrist and handled the GOP with kid gloves because he did not want to be perceived as the angry black man. We needed an ass-kicker, take no prisoners, stand up to the GOP POTUS after Bush and Obama was not that guy. And the optics of seeing Michelle Obama cozy with Dubya these days is not exactly heartwarming.
