I barrel race and I also will go hunting. Both are fun to do but racing is more fun.
I don't deny that there isn't an element of fun. I hunt and have fun but it's a different kind of fun. The fun comes from being out in the woods with family and friends, not necessarily the moment you kill something. Atleast for me.
The primary point of hunting is for food. Unless you are a vegan you take part in the utilization or killing of living animals.
If you buy store bought meat then you are allowing the business of killing animals to continue to exist. Beef from the store was once walking in a field alive and breathing.
That's your choice to pay others. I'll pay for things sometimes and I'll provide for myself sometimes

I'm not pretending it is. I just don't think it's wrong to kill for food and enjoy the time out in the woods with family. You don't have to hunt if you don't want to and you don't have to eat meat from a store that came from an animal that was killed for you. Paying for someone to kill something and killing it yourself has the same result
We just disagree that's all. I'm sure to a lot of people I'm a horrible person not just for being a hunter but especially due to me being involved in rodeo and stock events. It is what it is to me. My point to you is that paying for someone else to kill for you or doing it yourself still takes a life. Unless you are a vegan you contribute to the process.
