Cl's plan: carefully avoid checking anything and shoot anybody moving in the dark. I'm hopeful it works well for him.

do you think I was re-programmed after my 6 years as a marine? do you think that my 8 years of gun rights activism was done from my bedroom? do you think that i've spent zero time doing any tactical training at all? why do you think that citizens are incapable of doing tactical training but cops are superheroes? unless they kill their daughter in their own home....then they are gun nuts?

My plan has been outlined on this thread, should you ever want to read it. However, I have dogs. Your plan is to just shoot any movement in the dark too? Good plan. I think Darwin would be proud.

your dog(s) is/are not weapons. they are domesticated animals that REQUIRE your protection, not the other way around.

What they are is a very easy way to tell if anybody is entering my house when they shouldn't. It will be relatively easy to know whether a person belongs or not.

its not foolproof. my own dogs end up barking at my daughter when she first walks in. will you shoot your dogs if they then make a mistake and you end up killing one of your kids?
 
Anyway, STY. I don't plan on using the dogs as a weapon and the plan still applies. Go read it. It works better than shooting at anything that moves in the house at night.

I didnt' read your plan. don't intend to. you're smart and I assume that you'd use judgement akin to that. it doesn't always apply to everybody though, especially if it's a woman frightened in her own home. the fact that she's a cop should seriously take in to consideration her ability to be a cop, but I don't see that happening.
