As long as the CEO's do nothing and steel works at least 60 hour a week so his taxes go to the CEO our system is good... steel supports redistribution and since he is from PA and he is rich he likes giving up his duckets.

Your taxes, my taxes, everyone who doesn't qualify for wealthy folks' loopholes goes to pay for them. You think you're getting a good deal when you go to Walmart? Figure in the cost of food stamps, housing subsidies and Medicaid per low end employee and add that to the price of the items you buy. Not such a great deal after all huh?

Think the price of gas is too high? Figure in tax breaks, subsidies, the cost of keeping the peace in the Middle East and what are we REALLY paying? There's a reason why other countries pay about $4/liter while we pay $3.50/gallon....add in a portion of the farm subsidies too...10% ethanol.

These are just two examples of corporate welfare. I won't even get into the banking sector, the trade deficit, or education.

Why is it ok for a corporation to charge what the market will bear for it's products and services but it's socialism when I try to charge what the market will bear for my services or the product of my labor?

I'm a firm believer in charging what the market will bear for your services or product. But what will the market bear for the services of someone with no valuable skills and rather unimpressive work habits?

Not much. What about those who do have skills and/or work their asses off? Which would probably be most.

I have no problem with getting paid well for skills and hard work. But I have seen far too many people who are perpetually late, always doing just enough to get by, and showing the work ethics of a sloth. And these are not just the unskilled workers. More than a few of the linemen and substation electrical workers do exactly the same.

That's their problem. Why should I be limited because of a handful of slackers?

yep! and they are your Obama supporters.

Because they don't earn it.... they pay other people to earn it for them...most of the time with wages that people can barely live on. Besides....why should I have to pay for their welfare?

Exactly. But I'd lean towards saying "they're paid to have other people earn it for them."

for all the anti-capitalists bitching about people making money off the sweat of your labors, I have a question.

would YOU, as the laborer, be willing to pay back the evil capitalist all the money you made working, if the evil capitalists business fails?

The workers already are punished and pay when the business fails. Oftentimes they're forced to live on unemployment while the business owner remains steeped in his wealth and greed, drawing tax credits for his failed business.

You earn what you pay for. Period. If you prole laborers can't get that through your heads, you all deserve to be laid off. Then the capitalists can pay the government to pay you for your lack of labor.
